The hotel manager
By jon0007
Chris is by far the most hospitable manager I have ever met. He goes out of his way to get to know all of the guests and gets very involved at the weekly social. The food and his attention makes this [More] my favorite candlewood in the usa to date. [Less]
Great location very clean!
I would always recommend this location. It was super clean, they are quick to make any adjustments if you need anything and it was great having your own little kitchen for a quick meal. [Less]
The Staff is AWESOME!!
By Sam in Texas
The staff here is AMAZING!! Close to train and shopping. This hotel is so close to NYC and other shopping areas. I really enjoyed my stay and the staff is so attentive and friendly. Kirsh, Samantha, [More] Jackie, Mannie, the housekeeping and whoever I missed, I am so appreciative for their personal attention, they really made my 6 month stay Home away from Home. This means a lot when you travel 90% for work. [Less]
Great property!
By sacgrad
My family and I stayed at this property for one night before our return to the West Coast.. We were so grateful for the airport shuttle service which was sitting and waiting outside of the Federal [More] Station shuttle pick-up, upon our arrival. The location of this property is located approximately 20 minutes from the airport, which was wonderful after a long train ride from Boston. This properties outside/inside appearance is clean and inviting. Customer Service at check-in is professional and courteous. I just wished the restaurant was still open for a late night snack. We had to settle for high sodium cups of noodles-Yuck! We were given the opportunity to request food delivered from neighborhood restaurants, but we were too tired. Our room was nice and clean with a pleasant art-deco decor. The best part of our stay was the mattress. They are very comfortable...just like home! We choose the Holiday Inn properties for our travels for the comfort of the mattresses. Really! Also, the water pressure in the shower is wonderful. This is a must have for me! The towels are nice and thick and covers your entire body. Awesome! The next day the restaurant was available for breakfast which we enjoyed, but if you're looking for a complimentary breakfast to help save on costs for your family, this is not the property to stay at. Although, the price of our meals were still reasonable, so if traveling with family, especially small children and cost is not much of an issue, then this property would be suitable Lastly, we had a couple of hours to spare before our flight was to depart, so the front-desk was very generous in letting us keep our belongings behind the desk while we went out to do a little more sightseeing in Queens, N.Y. Upon our return the shuttle was sitting outside and available to actually take us directly to our terminal at the airport. This was a great savings rather than taking the shuttle back to Federal Station and taking the Airtrain which would have costed us $5.00 pp. We look forward to returning to New York and maybe we'll stay again at this Holiday Inn property or maybe another, but we thank you for a wonderful stay. Comfortable flight stopover
By 4rosebud2
While eating our dinner at the in-hotel diner, the owner/manager came up and introduced himself. He then asked if everything was up to our satisfaction. This was a pleasant welcoming gesture. [Less]

Smart, European boutique hotel in the center of Brooklyn
By moonheids
If your business travel takes you to the MetroTech area of Brooklyn, this boutique hotel is conveniently located, with a modern design and friendly, responsive staff. (As of spring 2016, a high rise [More] is being constructed next door, so bring your ear plugs; weekday work started at 7 p.m.) The A, C and R lines are about a 10-minute walk away, so this would also make a more affordable alternative for leisure travelers to New York. Nice Hotel More Limited than Most Indigo's
By BHS10
All in all, the hotel wasn't bad, but there were a few issues. One was that the website said there was a restaurant as well as room service, but there was no indication that there was any room [More] service available. There was a bar/restaurant next door, food was fine, but it was extremely noisy, so if you don't like rap music played at high volume, you may want to go elsewhere. There is construction on the street so I'd recommend requesting a car before you normally would, as it can get stuck on the street for about 10 minutes and takes a while to arrive also. Room was tiny, and the sink could not be used unless the bathroom door was closed. Shower only. There is only a little more than a foot on either side of the bed, and no drawers. A few hangers but no real closet. There is an in-room safe, but my 15 inch laptop was at least an inch too long, and there are no larger safes downstairs. The bed was extremely comfortable and the towels were great for hotel towels. I would return, but probably not with my laptop. Location is fantastic, close to 2 different subway stations, lots of restaurants (chain and otherwise) and the Fulton Mall. [Less]
Terrific staff and clean room
By Hilti77
We have stayed several times at Hotel Indigo in Brooklyn and have always enjoyed our stay. The rooms are NYC - size, which is small. The rooms are very clean and staff are wonderful. The neighborhood [More] is also terrific. [Less]
