Incredibly poor room renovations; slow to fix some issues

During my stay I reported numerous issues, some of which were never repaired properly. Here is a list:

1. Toilet tank leaked into bowl resulting in water running making it difficult to sleep at times.
Maintenance did not repair properly (replaced flapper and fill valve). However, actual
problem was decomposing flush seal, which I diagnosed for them. New flush seal was
never installed.

2. GFCI outlet in bathroom did not work. Despite checking with staff on this issue multiple
times, it wasn't repaired until my stay was almost over. One of 2 GFCI outlets in the kitchen
also did not work, was reported around the middle of my stay when I used the toaster, and
was never repaired.
3. Tub faucet handle, fell off which was repaired promptly.
4. Room did not have a lamp or any light switch within reach of the bed which is inexplicable. GM had her office lamp placed on the end table in my room. That was nice, but why not just grab a lamp from the 2nd floor which was under renovation (I checked, there were lamps in
those rooms that were open)?
5. The Ecolab sprayer outside my room ran out of fluid and was chirping twice every 10
seconds and kept me awake hours one night. Once I found out where the sound was coming from, I reported it to the front desk. Returned from work 12 hours later and it had
not been addressed, so I removed the batteries and took them to the front desk. A
subsequent walk around the hotel revealed that several of these devices were indicating "00"
and chirping.
6. During my 31 night stay, only 2 of 3 washing machines, and just 1 of 4 dryers were
operable. The lack of dryers made it difficult to get access to the dryer during appointments
since guests were typically requiring more than an hour to dry clothes. Yes, free washer and
dryer is a nice perk, especially in an extended stay situation, but 3 of 4 dryers being
inoperale, with no intent to repair or replace, just doesn't instill much confidence that the hotel ownership cares about the image of the property.
7. Cosmetically, my room was such a poor renovation attempt that I was almost speechless.
There are huge gaps between the laminate flooring and wall in the kitchen and closet, the dishwasher was not attached to the cabinets (would tip out when the door was opened), and the desk backsplash pieces were not attached to the wall. These pieces were eventually
attached, and the result was not pretty to say the least. Frankly, the appliances should have
been replaced during the "renovation". I"m not sure why the smallish Olevia TV should be in
that room - Olevia went out of business at least 12 years ago. The evaporator fan in the freezer was failing, which I also reported to the front desk later in my stay. I hope for sake of future guests it has been remedied.
There's probably a couple things I am leaving out, but you get the point.
Though the hotel staff seemed pleasant and willing to at least write things down, there
wasn't much follow through. At one point, J asked me to write down all my room-related issues even though they had already documented each visit in a notebook. Apparently, there
were two separate logs and all my requests were in the one J was not looking at.
One more note: during my stay I filled out a survey that was placed in my room. Completion
of the top part of the survey was supposed to result in 1000 IHG points. My feedback was
not all positive, and for that reason I don't think my survey was ever recorded because
those points were never added to my rewards account. If I am not a winner of 25K points for
completing this honest survey, I will likely be moving on to a different hotel chain for future
stays.

This is my second time staying at this location and like the first visit, I was not disappointed.The staff is very welcoming and attentive. With hand sanitizer stations accessible throughout the facility, I felt very safe at this hotel at the height of COVID! Another plus for this hotel is its proximity to restaurants and shops. Walmart, HEB, Kohls and several fast food chains are all within a mile of this hotel.

Paid more than i was quoted

I paid more for the two rooms than what i was originally quoted when i booked it online, the bathroom smelled of mold, the AC unit was in pieces on the floor and the tv really didn't work, you couldn't change the channel or the volume with the remote or even turn it on or off and couldn't watch any programming that was on the cable guide. When taking a shower we had to hold the shower head with one hand or it would just spray on the wall.
