    Great Customer Service

    On 3/31/2020 I called the front desk and spoke to Shannon. I wanted to confirm that I was on still on schedule for Tues for housekeeping since I redeemed points from last week and I know that can throw the schedule off. She confirmed that I was on schedule for Tues. I didn't need full service today. Only a mop to clean the floors. Shannon took the initiative and offered to mop the floors herself. For that I will never forget. I truly appreciated her service today. I am sorry that from before I couldn't adjust to her because I was so upset and frustrated with everything that was going on here and there were personality conflicts as well. All I wanted was someone to care or show compassion and she did just that today. She allowed me to vent my frustrations this morning and I felt as though our conversation was different this time around. I pray that as things continue to progress, change will happen for the better. This is a learning experience that WE ALL get frustrated at some point because we ALL are HUMAN. Our encounter today made me realize, that sometimes we just have to take a step back and relax. Everything cannot be negative and Shannon was a reminder to focus on the positive. So again Thank you so much for everything and I am happy that what started out as a negative situation was turned around for the best.

    Horrible Front Desk Service

    Cont'd Part 2 from 3/28/2020. The main reason why I was so irate with Evelyn was because the agent started to raise her voice at me, and I said to her do not raise your voice at me. So this is the root cause of the argument between her and I. I simply called about a noise complaint and things should've never escalated to this level. Again I stress that this is a great hotel as far as the amenities, location etc, but my biggest pet peeve is the staff. I am truly disgusted that there is no code of conduct or whatever happened to ethics, values, etc? I will always defend myself when I feel as though I am being mistreated. Tonight was seriously uncalled for and I hope no other guest experience what I encountered so that is why I am posting this review. Thank you.

    Horrible Front Desk Service

    I called the front desk to complain abt noise above me and spoke to Evelyn. She was beyond rude and not sympathetic. I simply told her on 3/27 that I am trying to sleep and based on her tone and delivery, she was irritated. She advised that she was going to call the room above me, but then yet I kept hearing noise so I called back and come to find out , she didn't call the room immediately. When I called back the second time, she advised that she was trying to call the room but I didn't understand the reason for the delay. So yes I had an attitude because at that moment I was trying to sleep.

    3/28- I called the front desk again because the ppl above were making a lot of noise so when I called no one answered. I had to then leave my room to go to the front desk and I saw Evelyn there. I advised her of the situation and she said she was going to call the room upstairs. When I got back to my room, I noticed that the noise didn't stop so I called the desk and spoke to her. That is when the arguing began. I told her I am trying to sleep and the noise is still going on. She then said well I called up there and there is nothing going on. I said how would you know you are not in my room. Then the rep proceeded to argue with me. So not only am I irritated that I am hearing constant noise from last night and again tonight, but now I am arguing with a staff member. All she had to say was I am so sorry but I will take care of it. And yes was I frustrated? Of course and you would be to if you kept losing sleep because of someone's inability to keep quiet. But what's worse is when a staff member is rude to you and doesn't care. Why are you working here if you do not have the passion to help nor care for others is my debate. I am sorry but I will continue to speak up on these matter because last night and tonight was uncalled for and to go through this with the same person is unreal. My personal opinion, CANDLEWOOD NEEDS A COMPLETE MAKEOVER. Bring ppl on board who are compassionate abiout their jobs and who can deal with people. Part of the hospitality business is handling guest situations. And Half the time I come to the front desk and no one is either not at the desk or on their cell phones as if they are home. COMPLETELY UNPROFESSIONAL.

    The one positive thing I will say, is that the rooms are great and the location is amazing but when it comes to this particular person, she needs to go. When a guest has a complaint, its the staff's job to deescalate the situation, not be unprofessional and cause the guest to be irate. I am truly angry that this person proceeded to argue with me as if I am the problem when all I was doing was complaining abt noise. A true experienced professional has a solid knowledge base on handling conflict so either get a new staff, or coach your staff.
