These “General Promotion Terms” shall govern all Offers under this Promotion.

*This promotional offer (the “Promotion”) gives IHG One Rewards members the opportunity to choose from one of two different options for earning extra IHG One Rewards bonus points. To partake in this Promotion, the individual must have an active valid IHG One Rewards account. The member must first register their member number for one of two available offers: (1) the “Earn 2,000 Points Every 2 Nights” offer (the “2,000 Points Offer”); or (2) the “Earn 10,000 Points Every 4 Nights” offer (the “10,000 Points Offer”). If a member has registered for the 2,000 Points Offer, the member can earn 2,000 IHG One Rewards bonus points each time they complete two (2) Qualifying Nights during the Promotion Period (defined below). If a member registered for the 10,000 Points Offer, the member can earn 10,000 IHG One Rewards bonus points each time they complete four (4) Qualifying Nights during the Promotion Period. A member can only register for one of these two Offers, and once a member has registered for one of them, the member is only eligible for that Offer and cannot register for the other Offer or receive any points under the other Offer. 

The “Promotion Period” is from October 13, 2022, through December 31, 2022. Members will be able to register for this Promotion starting on September 28, 2022. A member can only register once. By clicking the “click to register” button for the Promotion, a member is registering for either the 2,000 Points Offer or the 10,000 Points Offer and is accepting these Terms & Conditions.  After registering, a member cannot change the option they have chosen.

For purposes of this Promotion, the Qualifying Nights can be at any participating IHG® Hotels & Resorts, Mr & Mrs Smith properties, or participating Six Senses® properties (as identified on each hotel’s booking page), and each Qualifying Night must be during the Promotion Period and must be part of a Qualifying Stay. A “Qualifying Stay” is defined as a minimum 1-night stay booked under a Qualifying Rate, with total spend exceeding $30 USD (or local equivalent) per night. Only one room per member per Qualifying Stay will be eligible. If more than one member checks into the same room, only one member is eligible to claim the night for purposes of this Offer. No retroactive credit will be given for nights prior to registration. 

Members registered for either the 2,000 Points Offer or the 10,000 Points Offer will have unlimited earning potential for this Promotion during the Promotional Period. The time needed for awarding points can vary with each promotion, so please allow up to 6 weeks for the bonus points to be posted to the recipient’s member account.

This Promotion is subject to the standard IHG One Rewards Membership Terms and Conditions and earning structure, which can be obtained here. The bonus points awarded through this Promotion are not Elite status qualifying. IHG may withdraw points from a member’s account if they were deposited into the member’s account in error and may revoke all points in a member’s account if the member abuses the IHG One Rewards program, including but not limited to abuse of the point redemption process. 

IHG also expressly reserves the right to remove a member's points, downgrade their status, or cancel their account if fraudulent use of the Promotion (or the Offers) is detected, and any fraudulent activity relating to a member’s account, this Promotion, the Offers, or restricted rate offerings is subject to the IHG One Rewards Membership Terms and Conditions, including any of the identified actions that may be taken in response to such activity. To the extent permitted by applicable law, IHG One Rewards reserves the right of final interpretation of the Promotion and the Offers, as well as the right to cancel, suspend and/or modify the Promotion at any time. This exclusive promotional offer is valid and applies to the original recipient only. Members must make any promotional inquiries no later than 60 days from the end of the Promotion Period. Members who are invited to participate in this Promotion may also participate in other IHG offers and promotions to the extent they qualify for such other offers or promotions.

What is the Pick Your Payoff Promotion?

IHG One Rewards members are being offered two options for a way to earn additional bonus points when they stay at participating IHG® Hotels & Resorts during the Promotion Period. The two options are referred to as “Offers” and are described in more detail below.

To participate in the Promotion, a member must first choose one of the two Offers and then register for the Offer they have chosen. A member can only register for one of the two Offers, and once a member has registered for one of them, the member is only eligible for that Offer and cannot register for the other Offer or receive any points under the other Offer.   

The two Offers are: 

Option 1 − The “Earn 2,000 Points Every 2 Nights” Offer (“2,000 Points Offer”). 

If a member has registered for the 2,000 Points Offer, the member can earn 2,000 bonus points each time they complete two (2) qualifying nights stayed during the Promotion Period.  

OR  

Option 2 − The “Earn 10,000 Points Every 4 Nights” Offer (“10,000 Points Offer”)

If a member has registered for the 10,000 Points Offer, the member can earn 10,000 bonus points each time they complete four (4) qualifying nights stayed during the Promotion Period.

How do I know if I am eligible for the Pick Your Payoff Promotion?

This Promotion is available to all IHG One Rewards members. 

When does the Pick Your Payoff Promotion begin and end?

The Pre-Registration Period for IHG One Rewards members begins on September 28, 2022 and ends on October 12, 2022. Members can pre-register for this Promotion during this Pre-Registration Period.

Members can earn points on qualifying nights at participating IHG® Hotels & Resorts globally during the Promotion Period, which is from October 13, 2022 through December 31, 2022. The Promotion Period is when members can stay and earn promotional bonus points under this Promotion.  As explained in more detail in these FAQs, the number of points a member can earn, and the number of qualifying nights required to earn those points, will depend on which of the two Offers the member chooses when they first register for the Promotion.

Members who did not pre-register can also register for the Promotion during the Promotion Period. Nights stayed prior to registration for the Pick Your Payoff Promotion will not be eligible for bonus points under the Promotion. 

If I registered for the previous Earn up to 4X promotion, which ran from May 4 - August 31, 2022, do I still need to register for the Pick Your Payoff Promotion?

Yes, these are separate promotions and require separate registration for members to be eligible to earn bonus points under the Pick Your Payoff Promotion.  

Can a member register for both the 2,000 Points Offer and the 10,000 Points Offer within the Pick Your Payoff Promotion?

A member will not be able to register for both Offers within the Pick Your Payoff Promotion. Upon registering for one of the two Offers, they will become ineligible to register for the other.   

Example − If a member registers for the “Earn 2,000 Points Every 2 Nights” Offer (“2,000 Points Offer”), the member can only earn points under that Offer, and the member cannot register for the “Earn 10,000 Points Every 4 Nights” Offer (“10,000 Points Offer”) and cannot receive any points under the 10,000 Points Offer. 

How can members earn bonus points with this Promotion?

Members will need to first choose between the Earn 2,000 Points Every 2 Nights” Offer (“2,000 Points Offer”) and the “Earn 10,000 Points Every 4 Nights” Offer (“10,000 Points Offer”) and then register for the Offer they have chosen.

If a member registers for the 2,000 Points Offer, the member will receive 2,000 promotional bonus points each time they complete two (2) qualifying nights at participating IHG® Hotels & Resorts, globally, during the Promotion Period.

If a member registers for the 10,000 Points Offer, the member will receive 10,000 promotional bonus points each time they complete four (4) qualifying nights at participating IHG® Hotels & Resorts, globally, during the Promotion Period.

For this Promotion, the qualifying nights must be part of one or more Qualifying Stays at participating IHG® Hotels & Resorts, Mr and Mrs Smith properties, or participating Six Senses® Hotels, Resorts, & Spas (as identified on each hotel’s booking page), and each qualifying night must be completed during the Promotion Period, which is from October 13, 2022 – December 31, 2022.  No retroactive credit will be given for nights prior to registration for the Promotion, and any nights outside of the Promotion Period will not be eligible for bonus points under the Promotion.   

What is a Qualifying Stay for purposes of this Promotion?

A Qualifying Stay is a minimum one (1) night stay booked under a Qualifying Rate, with total spend exceeding US $30 (or local currency equivalent) for each night. 

Only one room per member per Qualifying Stay will be eligible to be counted towards the number of qualifying nights for purposes of the Pick Your Payoff Promotion. If more than one member checks into the same room, only one member is eligible to receive credit for the room night under the Promotion. If a member books more than one room on the same night, they will only be eligible to receive credit towards the number of qualifying nights on the room with the higher room rate for each such qualifying night. What is considered a Qualifying Rate?

Qualifying Rates include most business and leisure rates, such as Advanced Purchase rates, Best Flexible rates, Global sales negotiated rates (including but not limited to Corporate Gold rates), national/regional/local government rates, and specified leisure rates as confirmed by IHG’s reservation systems. In Asia, the Middle East, Africa, and Greater China hotels and resorts, Qualifying Rates include all locally negotiated rates. How many bonus points can I expect to earn when participating in the Pick Your Payoff Promotion?

For this Promotion, the “Earn 2,000 Points Every 2 Nights” Offer means that a member registering for this Offer will receive an additional 2,000 bonus points each time the member completes two (2) qualifying nights stayed at participating IHG® Hotels & Resorts, globally, during the Promotion Period. These points are in addition to the base points the member will receive from their qualifying stay. 

For this Promotion, the “Earn 10,000 Points Every 4 Nights” Offer means a member registering for this Offer will receive an additional 10,000 bonus points each time they complete four (4) qualifying nights stayed at participating IHG® Hotels & Resorts, globally, during the Promotion Period. These points are in addition to the base points the member will receive from their qualifying stay.

For the Pick Your Payoff Promotion, members will have unlimited earning potential for this Promotion during the Promotion Period. 

How are bonus points calculated under the Pick Your Payoff Promotion for Elite members?

As explained in more detail in these FAQs, the number of points a member can earn under this Promotion, and the number of qualifying nights required to earn those points, will depend on which of the two Offers the member chooses when they first register for the Promotion. The promotional bonus points are then calculated based solely on the number of qualifying nights the member stays at participating IHG® Hotels & Resorts (globally), as an IHG One Rewards member, during the Promotion Period. Any Elite status bonus points or any other bonus or promotional points the member may be eligible to receive for the same stay are not included in that calculation. Additional examples of the award of points under the Pick Your Payoff Promotion for members with Elite status are provided below. 

Example One - A Diamond Elite member completes two qualifying nights at a participating IHG® Hotels & Resorts property and is registered for the “Earn 2,000 Points Every 2 Nights” Offer under the Choice Offer Promotion. The member spends $100.00 on each night. The member will earn a total of 6,000 IHG One Rewards Points, as follows:

Base Points Earned (Points the member receives for their stay for being an IHG One Rewards member): 10 Points per USD X $100 X 2 Nights = 2,000 Base Points.

Elite Bonus Points Earned (Bonus points the member receives for their stay for being a Diamond Elite Status Member): 10 Bonus Points per USD X $100 X 2 Nights = 2,000 Elite Bonus Points.

Promotional Bonus Points Earned under the Pick Your Payoff Promotion (Bonus Points the member receives for their stay for participating in this Promotion): The 2 qualifying nights result in “2,000 promotional bonus points” under the Pick Your Payoff Promotion. 

The total points earned by the member under this example is: 2,000 Base Points + 2,000 Elite Bonus Points + 2,000 Promotional Bonus Points = 6,000 total points.

Example Two – A Diamond Elite member completes 4 qualifying nights at a participating IHG® Hotels & Resorts property and is registered for the “Earn 10,000 Points Every 4 Nights” Offer under the Pick Your Payoff Promotion. The member spends $100 per night. The member will earn a total of 18,000 IHG One Rewards Points, as follows: 

Base Points Earned (Points the member receives for their stay for being an IHG One Rewards Member): 10 Points per USD X $100 X 4 Nights = 4,000 Base Points.

Elite Status Bonus Points Earned (Bonus points the member receives for their stay for being a Diamond Elite Member): 10 Bonus Points per USD X $100 X 4 Nights = 4,000 Elite Bonus Points.

Promotional Bonus Points Earned under the Pick Your Payoff Promotion (Bonus points the member receives for their stay for participating in this Promotion): The 4 qualifying nights result in “10,000 promotional bonus points” under the Pick Your Payoff Promotion. 

The total points earned by the member under this example is: 4,000 Base Points + 4,000 Elite Bonus Points + 10,000 Promotional Bonus Points = 18,000 total points. 

Is there a maximum number of bonus points a member can earn under this Promotion during the Promotion Period?

Once a member registers for the Pick Your Payoff Promotion, there is not a maximum number of bonus points a member can earn during the Promotion Period.
