I had the pleasure of staying at the Crowne Plaza, Suzhou several times in October and November. As always, I was very pleased with my stay and overwhelmed by the kindness and dedication of the
Cici (guest relations, Club Lounge) made me feel welcome BEFORE I even arrived at the hotel with her thorough communication with me regarding arrival times and other arrangements. By the way, this was on her day off, but she still reached out to me and made the arrangements to ensure my comfort. Checking-in was effortless.
I have a particular room that I prefer (great air conditioning and location) that was not available at check-in. Sue (guest relations, Club Lounge) informed me that the room would soon be available and that her team would be happy to move me once available. George and Andy (concierge desk) made the move seamlessly.
My nightly visits to the Club Lounge makes me feel very much at home (truly a "home away from home") due to the amazing service provided by Cici, Sue, Anne, Neal, LaBelle and George. “Can” (pronounced Ken) has picked right up where Pavel left off with this amazing team. They are always (genuinely) friendly, smiling and attentive to my needs. As mentioned in a previous review, as soon as I enter the room, one of the staff will send a Heineken to my favored table without having to ask!
George, Jeff, James, Edric, Henry and Andy at the concierge desk exude the hospitality of friends. Always genial, they are great resources for not only the tourist destinations, but locales enjoyed by the staff themselves.
Gino, aka “the piano man” has an extensive set-list as he warms the air of the Mariana Lounge with his dulcet tones. This young man has a voice to match his formidable skill on the ivory.
Gal, in the T-Boat sports bar/ restaurant has her staff prepared to provide better service than any restaurant in Suzhou (and I’ve eaten at more than 100).
Oh yes, the hotel itself…beautiful, gleaming marble everywhere that accentuates the soaring views of JinJi Lake and the East Lake skyline. Every amenity of a five-star hotel is in place as expected. As someone who tries to workout while on traveling, I really appreciate the well-appointed gym (including a nice selection of barbells and dumbbells) and pools (yes, there are multiple pools).
Kudos once again to the best hotel on the planet.
