This is third time I have stayed at this hotel and all have been very enjoyable, however booking the rooms this time was a mission.
As I was booking for a group, 19 people 11 rooms, I decided to
call the hotel as I had done the previous two years. On phoning the hotel with my booking details, I was told to send details in an e-mail. A week later I had not heard back from the hotel and phoned them again, only to be told to resend e-mail. Another week passed with no correspondence so I phoned IHG customer service. They said they would get the hotel to contact me. After yet another week of waiting for someone from Holiday Inn Englos to contact me, I contacted IHG again, this finally worked.
It took over three weeks to make this reservation which is not acceptable considering the amount spent on rooms alone was over £2500.
On checking out, it was noticed that were was a communication problem between IHG and the hotel regarding the room rate, as everyone in the group was overcharged. Money was reimbursed to everyone the following day.
I am due to visit Lille again next year and will more than likely stay at the hotel again due to the great location, comfort and service. Hopefully the booking in process will be a bit easier. [Less]
