Madrid has more than 40 museums, including the Prado Museum, Museum of the Americas and the Museum of Money. Once you've had your cultural fill, why not indulge in some retail therapy? Madrid is home to a huge range of shops, including department store El Corte Ingles on Calle de Preciados. On the same street and throughout the surrounding area you'll find lots of mainstream stops. Head to the Salamanca District for boutiques and designer labels and make for the El Rastro flea market for traditional bargains.

Football fans will already be well aware of the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium, home to the world famous Galácticos of the Real Madrid football team. Also in the city is the Vincente Calderón Stadium where Atlético Madrid ply their trade.

You can fly straight into Madrid's international airport from all over Europe, including Manchester, London and Edinburgh in the UK. Madrid's railway stations connect the city by high-speed train to other major Spanish cities including Barcelona and Valencia, as well as to other European cities.

Good Comfortable Room

Once again pleasant stay room very clean and breakfast choice good. Internet speed has improved since last visit. The only negative comment is the lack of more than one UK TV channel however don't [More] really visit hotels to watch TV but would be good to have. [Less]
Mixed experience
By cdoubleutls
When I arrived, I had a very negative impression. There was construction around the hotel and a police car and police discussing with a staff member outside the hotel. I arrived around midnight. [More] This did not give me a very positive impression. I later realised the Police were on their coffee break. Check-in took a very long time. There was only one staff member doing the check-in and 11 people were waiting. My room was comfortable. However, the sofa was quite damaged and I found hair in the bathroom. The garbage bin was damaged, giving an impression of poor repair. The hotel is located behind a shopping center. This is convenient for shoppinig. For my purposes, it is far from my work location so I probably would not stay here again. [Less]
