We were somewhat familiar with London and wanted to stay near a tube and train station but also wanted to be near the attractions. We looked for quite awhile before we found this property. It met all[More] of our expectations for location. When we finally arrived for our vacation, we then realized how great the location was but the property exceeded all of ours hopes. Very nice staff and the amenities were perfect. Join the IHG club and stay at any of the properties to be able to fully appreciate the benefits.[Less]

Excellent hotel, fantastic location for exploring London, highly recommended[Less]
Great member treatment
I booked a IHG reward night and was upgraded to Club room, which was beyond expectations. Club lounge was well worth it and the staff really friendly and attentive. The location is very central and[More] within walking distance to many attractions and riverside walk. Tube across the street and buses also easy to find.
Somehow they forgot to post the welcome amenitiy points, but I am not unhappy about it given the excellent stay and value![Less]
Convenient location and good comfortable facilities
Staff are responsive to needs and willing to listen. Decorations within guest rooms appera a little tired and not as modern as some other Holiday Inns. It is ideally located for Borehamwood shops and[More] close to motorway connections[Less]
Food only ok
By tony 23ee
The food can be a bit bland but is edible, the service can be a bit slow when busy but the staff do try, Hotel could do with a freshen up in the rooms, the internet could be a bit quicker and the[More] Freeview tv is limited[Less]
Lovely staff, so helpful, and so welcoming
We have stayed in this hotel at least 100 times over the twenty odd years since our children moved to London.
In these days it was called THE ELSTREE MOAT HOUSE HOTEL.
Regrettably the only complaint[More] we have, is the fact that the hotel requires major renovation now.
In our room this time we had to point out various articles of ironmongery were missing or broken.
I don't think one penny has been spent in upgrading or renovation since the hotel was built......Great shame:[Less]
Excellent hotel with very friendly staff
Had a very enjoyable stay, looked after very well by the very attentive staff[Less]
Lovely rooms and good customer service
We stayed at this hotel over a weekend for a birthday celebration. I was impressed by the interior of the hotel and especially our room, which was modern and had all amenities that you would need for[More] your stay. It was also very clean and quiet. We had requested a room overlooking the thames but this had not been accommodated, however we were still pleased with the room as it was very quiet and comfortable and there was a bottle of wine and a welcome pack left as a birthday gift. The bathroom was modern and very clean and included lovely shower/shampoo gels etc. It was great having kitchen facilities in the room and although we did not use them much it meant we could have cold drinks in the fridge. We had breakfast on both days. The first day, Sunday, was fine and we enjoyed an english breakfast. However on the second day, Monday, there was no bacon and the toast machine had been put on the wrong settings so the toast was burnt on one side. Apart from this we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely use this hotel again. The staff were extremely welcoming and helpful and the hotel was in an excellent location to explore London. There was also the bonus of the hotel dog! Overall we enjoyed our stay and would not hesitate in recommending this hotel to our friends and family.[Less]
