You don't expect the height of luxury from a Holiday Inn Express, but the rooms are clean, the staff friendly and the breakfast, ample.
Nine Elms is a five-ten minute walk from Vauxhall tube and
mainline station, and a further ten mins on tube into central London. The bus stop is opposite the hotel, which we used early saturday morning for a very pleasant No88 trip through central London up to camden market.
The only slight downside is that we found the "soft" pillows not very, and the dining/lounge area is very brightly light and could do with a few more comfy chairs, as it is not very welcoming.
Overall, the hotel was spot on for what we needed it for, a base for three days visiting London.
They also had a funky little smart phone thingy in the room which you can take out and about with you to make calls and access the internet. I think this is a Loyalty Club perk. Not sure why anyone would need it though if they have a smart phone of their own. I just used 4G as it is usually faster than hotel internets. [Less]
