for a european who undarstands english, german and russian only
By ARTUR_84
The hotel is near a lake and the atmosphere there is very well. The most stuff at the reception understands english good enoth and where very friendly to me, what is very important for me, because I [More] doesn't understand any chinese. The rooms in 3th flor are big enougth and i felt prety confortable. In my first room at the north side of the building it was very cold when I came there, it was 10°C only. I turned on the heater and it got only about 20°C after some hours. On the next day it gets about 22°C but somehow it was still cold in the room, because (maybe the isolation of the building is not very good) I requested to get a new room and I got an other room on the south side of the building. There it was 15°C when I first got there. The heater worked much better there, and reached about 25°C. The isolation is also not so good there, but at this side I doesnt feel so cold anymore. An other not so good thing is, that the Internet is very slow, but that problem a lot of hotels in China have. But this is also a reasom for me to change the hotel, because there are other hotels where I had about 100kb/s downloadspeed which is nasseserry for me. Please do something at this point!! [Less]
Lovely hotel outside downtown - beautiful golf course
By gck2016
Stayed for 4 nights. Beautiful grounds but far from downtown Shanghai or the airport (over 1 hour). Joey at the front desk was very helpful. Breakfast (additional charge) was plentiful and both [More] western and Chinese. Nice appointed rooms and several services. [Less]

Top hotel in top city
By Demon
I use this hotel regularly for business, it feels very professional and has a superb bar to unwind after a hard day. The breakfast is best I have experienced in Shanghai for a westerner [More] especially! I can highly recommend this hotel. [Less]
Great location and stay
By Rudy_31
Overall i experienced great stay and the staffs is really helpfull. The opprtunities of improvrment was please keep the outdoor heater on at smoking area at the evening please. During winter it is [More] killing to smoke outside without heater lights on especially close to midnight time. I appreciate non smoking room policy but please turn on that heater. [Less]
Great staff - lots of food options reasonable transport options
By JOEQ65
The staff at this hotel are amazing. The hotel has 'western internet' . The location is convenient to food at reasonable prices and the subway is a short walk away. The Concierge named Sky is [More] amazing but even more impressive is that this hotel also has a crossed key concierge on staff!. The hotel does an amazing job of keeping the 'local entertainment' out of the hotel although you may be approached on the street if you are male and looking like you are by yourself. A simple No Thank you seems to do the trick though. [Less]
