Firstly, I have no issues with the hotel. The rooms are fine, the beds and pillows are excellent, the food is very good in both restaurants and the staff throughout the hotel are polite and helpful.
I will stay with you again.
However, my stay was marred by what appears to be a lack of communication in your reservation system.
1. My company contacted the hotel and requested an airport pick up for me. It didn't happen!! Fortunately, I eventually managed to contact your airport representative and he called for a car (This is the second time that this has happened-it happened on my last visit in January). On arrival at the hotel, the reception staff told me that they had not received a request from my company.I accepted this at this stage.
On checking in, the reception staff took a photocopy of the confirmation of my hotel booking that I had received from my company (and you would also have received)
2. When I came to check out, my bill included room and breakfast charges. I queried this as the confirmation on my booking clearly stated that the company would pay for these and they should be billed
The reception staff told me that they had received no information from my company.
(a)This was very strange as I would not have been booked into the hotel without confirmation of my booking from you to my company
(b) Your reception staff had taken a copy of my booking confirmation when I checked in
As a result, it took me 25 minutes to check out as the reception staff had to check with administration staff and this took a considerable amount of time. I had a plane to catch-fortunately it was Sunday and traffic was reasonably light.
I don't know what the issue is but this has now happened on my last two stays with you. I am guessing that there is a communications gap between your reservations section and your reception staff.
I will be staying with you on my next business trip but please, please can you sort this problem out. [Less]
