I stayed at this property 4 nights last month. The arrival experience was rather rocky: oddly none of the parking lot attendants or security staff spoke English, greatly complicating where to park
the car. The hotel has a very small lot with limited free parking, and arriving after an evening flight into Ben Gurion there were no spaces on site. The first two nights I had to park in an unlit dirt lot a 7 minute walk from the property; fortunately the last 2 nights there were spaces on site.
After settling the car, the check in experience seemed to go well until the next morning when I accidentally found out from another front desk worker that I had not been offered some of the Spire Elite benefits at check in; this was a bit disappointing. The staff in general was quite disengaged and in all departments didn't really seem to enjoy their jobs.
On the plus side, the Executive Lounge was a nice feature. The location is unbeatable, with the hotel property blending right into the Dead Sea beach. I did get a great room on the top floor with a balcony which was quite nice. The room itself was clean and well appointed, and the bathroom was as well.
Overall, a good experience. It could be a great property if management regrouped and tried to teach their employees basic global hospitality standards and how to go beyond the minimum. [Less]
