Stayed recently at Hotel Indigo Katong Singapore for a short weekend getaway, mainly because my curiosity of the branding of Hotel Indigo which highlights the local culture experience.
ambience describes a peranakan culture, and I could feel it in the room's interior design as well, and I really love it!
What I like is the in-room amenities, such as the tea cup and the complementary sweets, represents peranakan culture, as well as the chinese clog!
The footh-bath is surprising too.
The selection of jams in the breakfast, i.e. lemongrass pineapple and salted egg kaya was phenomenal :)
What can be improve:
1. Personalized welcome card
It is better to have the personalized welcome card in the room, instead of having the post card given by the receptionist during check in.
2. Breakfast to include a selection of Kueh Nyonya, representing the Peranakan culture, because the breakfast is pretty much western and continental, and I couldn't feel a strong local culture.
Way to go! All the very best! [Less]
