We were very impressed, first of all, by the decor of the hotel...they picked up on the Gaudi elements significant in Barcelona. The room was beautifully-appointed with great
facilities...coffee-making machine, juices, cookies and candies upon arrival. (All other hotels in Spain did not have these facilities!!!!) We had a terrace overlooking the swimming pool and it was wonderful to sit out in the fresh air.The hotel was centrally-located, within walking distance of Passeig De Gracia and Plaza Catalunya, but yet it was quiet and not busy. It was nice to walk around these touristy areas, yet know that your hotel is close by.
The front office staff was generally friendly and accommodating. The breakfast was delicious and had a good variety of offerings. I love the cortado (my first experience of the Spanish coffee).
I would highly recommend this hotel to future guests.
The only caution in Barcelona is to be aware of pickpockets in whatever shape, size or colour. They are professionals. Be careful when walking at Las Ramblas... [Less]
