The Intercontinental in Century City is situated is a very safe and convenient location, connecting Hollywood to LAX right beside the grandeur Beverley Hills. I was warmly welcomed by the staff who
assisted in my luggage, check-in and explaining all the elements of the hotel.
The room was very conveniently located on the 26th floor which had incredible views from Downtown LA to Hollywood with the plus of an outdoor dining table and a sunbed. The room was quite comfortable and there is no criticism in any of the aspects of hygiene nor quality, which I must say is quite difficult usually for me to say. The details of the room: under the bed, hangers, bathrobe preparation, the order of the toiletries, etc. was superb. However, considering international travelers universal electricity converters or other language TV channels is of no harm and should have been considered to an extent.
Breakfast was alright and did not fascinate me, while the staff were outstanding in both character and service. The bar in the lobby has a great ambiance.
My only comment about the hotel is the concierge service. Their local knowledge was great, however from the start of my stay I have asked them to get me a car rental that I would like to take towards the end of my stay to head to Las Vegas for 3 days but they went all silent on me even when I followed up two days later. It is a pity in my opinion as the staff were very nice but seemed to be either stressed out, disoriented or simply did not care.
Keeping in mind, I do not rate hotels based on concierge services, this hotel scored a 9.15/10 in my personal scaling, and is highly recommended for all those coming to LA whether for work or leisure purposes. [Less]
