Great motel: the staff was very kind and quick; everything was very clean

Perhaps it was an off week.... it started off nice. Convenient to the MARTA station, nice lobby, and warm staff. Then I went into my room... which was clean. Frustrations were that as it was cold, the heater did not work and the room was very cold. Slept in a hoodie during both nights of my stay. Additionally, the blanket they give for the bed was super thin. Even with an additional blanket requested, it was much too cold for my personal comfort. Also, the cable did not work. I understand that there was an outage in the downtown area with their service provider, but this was still super inconvenient for me. Also, first thing in the morning, most people are going to want a coffee or tea to start their day. With a Starbucks shop downstairs, you would think that would be an easy thing to achieve, but no, most often the Starbucks area was vacant of staff. So you are just standing around asking if its open, and having one of the hotel staff get the Starbucks personnel behind the register.
As was stated, the room and bathroom was clean, the MARTA station was a block away, and my workshop was in the state building next door, so that was super convenient. Otherwise, would not stay here again, and would suggest my company book another hotel in the immediate area, in the future.
Parking and cable, outside noise

Even thou parking is convenient it is expensive.
Any chance to lessen that expensive would be appreciated.
One of the reasons I like staying at in the room is cable. The cable did not work for 24 hrs. That was troubling for me as I missed at of shows I enjoy while resting.
The outside noise was troubling as well due to at least one very loud car that kept racing around the block outside. They also kept reving their very loud motor at a very late hour.

Overall stay was ok. There was a lot of street noises like sirens and car traffic. I had no hot water for a shower.

Only had four working cable channels my whole stay, floors hallway smelled bad. I expected more for this hotel considering its location. Front desk also lied about parking told us it was self parking available but once we arrived had to pay $40 dollars a night for valet parking. Also front desk wasn’t the most helpful. Only decent people they had with some type of understanding was the java coffee people. First time and last time staying here.

Great location near Georgia Tech. Great staff that we’re very accommodating on our room request. Room rates are exceptional.
Great stay just need to improve valet

It is unfortunate the negative experience with the valet affected our stay and satisfaction. The hotel however was very apologetic and tried their best afterwards to ensure we were happy.. the hotel staff was wonderful. We understand it was a new valet service and everyone makes mistakes, We just hope that they get their issues resolved so they can meet the expectations of the guests and not cause others to be late like what happened with ourselves.

The property was fine. We've found most Crowne Plazas need an update at this point - but this one was better than others.
The staff was friendly - although they seemed completely flustered upon our arrival. That's probably because there was a Theatre Conference and an SEC Championship game all happening that weekend. Still...our check-in felt a little more haphazard than it should. We did receive complimentary drink/snack tickets upon check-in...but when we went to use them at the bar, there were no snacks. The bartender told us it had "been on the request sheet for a while, but nobody was doing anything about it". Fine. A $10 discount on a drink is a nice welcome.
The real problem occurred Saturday night (actually Sunday morning) at 4am. We were awakened by VERY loud music that seemed to be coming from our balcony - we were on the 17th floor. It was clear that someone down at street level was BLARING music and the sound was bouncing between our building the one across the street. We called the front desk for help and were told that it was coming from a Cigar Bar across the street. Apparently, as they close up for the night, they open the doors and the music fills the street. We asked to call police (clearly this was a noise ordinance issue) and were told that police were on the scene and "allowed the patrons to relax to the music as they left". I mean...absurd. This went on for 20-40 minutes...which made sleeping impossible during that time. It seemed pretty clear that this was a regular occurrence...so...if you're planning to stay here on a Saturday night, bring ear-plugs and ask for room on the opposite side of the hotel.

The service was perfect. From the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed. Ms. Burke was amazing at the front desk. She upgraded us on our anniversary night and made it more special.

Stay here often. Valet is great. Renovations were up to par. Food in bar was great.
I don't pay this for a cold shower

My shower was luke cold. (I now know I should have checked this when I entered and told them I needed another room, but I would only expect to check such a thing at a cheap hotel, which the Crowne Plaza is not). The sink water was hot, but something was wrong with the shower. Although I informed management three different times with plenty of hours in between each, nothing was ever done and the last time they told me they had no record of the previous calls. I took two cold showers during my stay and left. I understand that problems happen, it's how they are dealt with that matters. They were not dealt with at all. Do not plan on staying at this hotel again.
