Tipps
If you are visiting the Hawkesbury Valley for the first time, you'll definitely want to pack some hiking clothes and a picnic basket. The region is home to some of the most magnificent walking trails and vantage points. With a number of beautiful day trip locations nearby we would also suggest travelling by car where possible. It's the best way to explore the region and parking is free on-site.

This lovely spot is located where the Grose and Hawkesbury-Nepean Rivers merge. Yarramundi Reserve has a little something for everyone. You will enjoy your visit all year round. The reserve is suitable for kayaking or canoeing. If you chose to stay dry instead why not go for a walk or do some bird watching - it has been noted that you could find over 90 different species of birds - or simply enjoy a leisurely picnic and relax. Yarramundi is a nice spot for fishing too.

Lovingly crafted over almost 40 years by Wayne and Sue Tapping, the garden presents a glorious collection of cool climate plants in a natural woodland setting. Butterfly Farm & Ski Garden

The Butterfly Farm and Ski Gardens caters for school groups, probus clubs etc for tours of the insect museum which is one of the largest displays of insects in the world. Water skiing in the summer months is popular on our riverfront.
Each group have a picnic table & B.B.Q. & their boats are launched and recovered by our tractor. A large function centre with kitchen & cooking facilities is available for hire for Xmax parties, birthdays, car shows etc.
McQuade Park

McQuade Park was planned by Lachlan Macquarie in 1810 as the great square that was to stand in front of St Matthews Church. Today it is a lovely large park in historic Windsor featuring a large sporting field with a heritage rotunda, a children’s playground, toilets and picnic shelters. A large pond features at one end of the park, it is a scenic back drop for photos or a pleasant place to see the local ducks.
