too hot in the room and throughout the hotel, rude and incompetent staff at breakfast who in addition, were completely disorganised.
Quality of breakfast is of a premier inn standard and I would have expected better

My wife is most comfortable in this hotel. She travels the world on business staying in good hotels and she ranks this as her favourite. I am happy because she is happy.
My only grouse is given the quality and ambience two things jar - the poor quality of the breakfast bread and the big curtains to the front club rooms jamb because they are two heavy for the inadequately installed track.

Not really up to Crowne Plaza standards. Some of the rooms are unbelievably small, so much so their bathrooms have no room to stack the towels except directly beside the toilet, which is gross. The bathroom was smaller than that of a Holiday Inn Express.
There are some firedoors which thump when closing all night long, and the rooms have poor noise insulation through the doors. The door to my room did not close automatically, it swung shut then stuck open on the door jam.
The bar area is nasty, like something acceptable from the 80's.
Better off in the nearby Holiday Inn Express - better Internet, larger bathrooms, much nicer bar area, quieter, and cheaper.
I would have raised ALL of this on check-out, except no one even bothered to ask if I'd had a good stay etc..
