We were recommended Crowne Plaza as our daughter was diving in a competition at the National Aquatic Centre. A group of us from the Diving Club all stayed at the hotel. The staff were all fantastic, especially those working in the bar for whom nothing was too much trouble, they served us out in the foyer when we couldn't find a table and were faultlessly polite and happy to help even when it was evident they were run off their feet. All of the food we ate, breakfast and bar meals was lovely, another family ate in the main restaurant and said it was lovely.
My only small negative is the air conditioning which just doesn't seem effective, with 4 of us in a family room it was too warm at night (and this was November) which didn't help with a good nights sleep.
We spent most of our time at the pool but it seemed like there was plenty to do in the shopping centre opposite, it was a 20 euro ride in a taxi from Dublin City Centre which we thought was good value given the heavy Friday afternoon traffic. Would definitely recommend.

The Crowne Plaza is a wonderful hotel. Everything from the staff, cleanliness, and facilities right down to the food in the Resturant
(we did not enter the bar so cannot comment) surpassed all our expectations.
Upon arrival we were greeted with a smile and told everything we needed to know, we were even offered a copy of the Independant, which was hanging on the door the next morning.
The room was very spacious and comfortable, we were travelling with a baby and had requested a travel cot. This was already erected when we arrived and even contained a few sheets, previous experience in other hotels on the matter has left me unimpressed, some hotels leaving us with carrying the cot to the room ourselves and others with no blankets or sheets in the cot, but the Crowne Plaza has restored my faith in baby cot efficiency.
The in room entertainment is great value also. For a tenner you get access to the on demand movies. Great if you've got the little ones in the room.
The only niggle we had was in the food department. The staff were more that amazing, as is the style and layout of the area, very tastefully (sorry).
My wife has strict dietary conditions, no wheat, no dairy, no nuts, no soya and no egg. Due to this she cannot eat a lot of dishes, and we found that there was not much of a choice on the menu to cater for people who are intolerant to certain foods. But most people won't experience this, so we don't feel in right to down grade our overall rating. (Just a little heads up).
Our room had a shower and a bath, which is always nice to have a choice.
The underground parking is handy and also free for patrons of the hotel. A bit tight with all the pillars, but that's the same everywhere.
Breakfast is self service and it is really well set out. There is of course the full Irish selection, yogurts, fresh scones, many different juices to choose from, scrambles or fried eggs, porridge, a selection of breads and toast.
The location is amazing if your into your shopping, the hotels is literally a stone throw away from blanchardstown shopping centre. Just cross the road and your there.
Checkout was a breeze, hand back your cards for the room and away you go.
I recommended this hotel to everybody wanting a nice break.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by JulianaV Comfortable, great food, bar service not that great
We were in Dublin over the weekend and stayed at Blanchardstown Friday and Saturday nights. The breakfast was amazing, the service there was good and it was included in the price of the room for us, which was nice. When we first arrived late in the evening, we called Room Service to inquire about the options for dinner, and we were told that, although the restaurant was closed, we could order from the late-night menu and eat at the lobby sitting area, near the bar. My husband and I decided to go eat downstairs and went to the bar to have a drink while we ordered a meal to be eaten at the sitting area. We were given the menu, ordered a drink and, when we ordered our food, the bar staff said they could order it, but only to be delivered at our room. A few minutes later, another attendant asked us to leave because the bar was about to close. There were 3 other tables at the bar at the time, and we all left. My husband and I were not even done with the first beer we ordered. We chose not to wait the 30 minutes or so for Room Service that late in the evening, and were disappointed that the bar closed so early on a weekend night, so abruptly and that the staff was not willing or able to order food or honor their colleagues premise that we could eat downstairs if we did not want to eat in the room. (We had a sleeping child and a sleeping senior citizen sharing the room with us, hence the wish to end our night in the hotel facilities, not in the room.)

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by EvieMc Wonderful place for a short break!
We have come to the hotel many times for lunch as we live nearby and have always enjoyed lovely food and the staff are always exceptionally friendly and accommodating. We fancied a short break away from home and so decided to stay for a night as a little treat to ourselves - myself, my boyfriend and our baby son.
As expected the staff as always were so friendly and helpful. For me both in restaurants and hotels the staff can make or break an experience - you can have the fanciest hotel in the worked but if the staff are brusque or unhelpful it ruins it for me. The staff here cannot be praised enough. The room was a completely unexpected surprised, the decor was even nicer than I imagined - gorgeous metallic wall paper, lovely glass art work, really large walk-in shower as well as a separate bath, really lovely. Breakfast in the morning was really relaxed and leisurely and there was plenty of everything and lots of healthy (and less healthy!) options for everyone.
Only negative (very slight) was that we could still hear music at around midnight (I presume there was a wedding on). However, I just heard it when I woke up in the night and it didn't stop me from going back to sleep so it wasn't a big deal. Will definitely be back again.

Spent the weekend to celebrate our golden wedding anniversary and visit relatives nearby.
All the staff, were cheerful, polite and helpful.
We had a celebratory meal (8 of us) in one of the restaurants and the food was fantastic and value for money, and the waitresses were also polite and cheerful and worked hard.
The hotel is only 15 minutes from Dublin airport and is adjacent to the largest shopping complex in europe?
We would not hesitate to stay here again in the future and would recommend the hotel to anyone traveling to Dublin

The room was excellent, nicely decorated, and wonderfully clean. The large bed was so comfortable. There was a lift from the underground carpark directly to reception or you room floor, so much easier with luggage.
Frequent buses into Dublin, leave from opposite the hotel, 2.80 euros each way per person. Very pleased with our stay.

My husband and I stayed at the Crowne Plasa in Blanchardstown recently. We booked in for four nights. The hotel is fabulous. Very modern and extremely impressive. Food is great and a varied menu. Staff are friendly and welcoming. A lovely four star hotel that is situated beside Blanchardstown Shopping Centre. We loved this great hotel so much, we didn't want to leave, so we booked in for another night. It's a real credit to the management and staff. So well run. We highly recommend the Crowne Plaza Hotel.Top marks. 100% Well done to all involved. We will certainly return again soon.

When I booked the room, I was in need of rest and relaxation, and a break from routine.
I had a very pleasant meal, with a complimentary glass of wine from Priority Club.
The room was pleasant and airy, without excessive noise from the air conditioning.
I left feeling refreshed and renewed

We recently stayed at this hotel as our son was about to start school and we wanted to have a family break together and take him to Dublin Zoo. This hotel was perfect for us as it was only minutes from the Zoo and also included passes to the Zoo as part of the deal. It is located across from the Blanchardstown S.C so was also perfect for a little retail therapy. The staff we met were very friendly and helpful, especially in the hotel bar , where the food was of a very high standard. The rooms were very clean and comfortable with plenty of space. I would definitely go back again and have no problem recommending this hotel to friends or family looking for a good hotel in Dublin.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Briggsie Join the Club! Enjoy the reward.
If you are like me, you may have joined many loyalty programmes in your time and often been disappointed when the rewards they offer don't always turn out the way you hoped.
But so far, my experience with the rewards of what used to be Priority Club and now IHG, have done exactly what they say on the tin.
I have been a member, probably for a decade or more and have made my decision to use the budget Holiday Inn brands when on business, knowing that I can use points to stay at the premium brands such as the Venetian or Palazzo at great rates when on vacation.
In other cases, the club membership can vastly reduce the costs of a vacation by getting reward nights at self catering places such at the Staybridge Suits, where you can get great apartments at good rates with great amenities.
As a Platinum member, the reward scheme did not disappoint for this trip to Dublin on the Friday night. I was allocated a very good premium room with complementary drinks, WiFi and a free half bottle of wine in the restaurant all at the cost of a standard room. There is also parking at the hotel if you decide to rent a car at the airport and drive 30ms down the M50.
It is the only hotel I stay at when I go to Dublin on business or pleasure as it is well connected by buses into town and the airport and close to several shops, restaurants and leisure facilities such as the National Aquatic centre
Food is excellent for breakfast, bar snacks, Sunday lunch and dinner and well worth a visit.
The business centre is always open to print boarding passes and the conference facilities are also very good.
It has a small gym which can get a bit busy and the only down side to this hotel is that is doesn't have a pool or steam.
Despite the decline of the Celtic tiger the addition of a Spa might do well for the Hotel and attract footfall from the tired shoppers over at Blanchestown Shopping Centre!
