Visit art museums old and new within 20 miles of our hotel. Northwest of Beverly Hills, The Getty houses famed Da Vinci and Van Gogh paintings. Admission is free; parking is not. To the northeast, The Broad is Downtown L.A.’s newest museum. Behind a striking honeycomb facade, collections focus on visual art of the 1960s through 1980s, including works by Andy Warhol and Jean-Michel Basquiat.
Enjoy the sunshine and sea views at world-renowned Santa Monica Pier. This 100-year-old landmark spills into the Pacific and offers dining, shopping, concerts and amusement-park rides, less than 30 minutes' drive from the hotel’s location near the Los Angeles airport. Watching the sun set over the Pacific Ocean from the top of the pier’s iconic Ferris wheel is an unforgettable experience.
L.A. is known for cars and stars; you can find both at new Universal Studios Hollywood exhibits, 25 miles north of the hotel, off US 101. Take a tour and enjoy the ride at “Supercharged,” a high-octane trip based on the Fast & Furious muscle-car movies. Enter the world of your favorite cartoon stars at "Springfield,” a ride that brings The Simpsons characters to life.
Don't Go Home Without
A trip to Los Angeles wouldn't be complete without a visit to the famous Hollywood sign. Griffith Park Observatory offers a great view of the sign, as well as spectacular views of the entire city. The observatory is 14 miles from our LAX Airport hotel.
Ditch your car to explore Downtown Manhattan Beach, Manhattan Village and Plaza El Segundo. Boutiques and shops there range from casual and eclectic to high-fashion. Walk among the palm trees and sample West Coast and international cuisine. The Ocean Express Trolley, which makes multiple stops near the hotel, offers convenient, affordable transport to all three locations.
