Arrived in the dark, and entrance to place difficult to find and the sat nav indictaed other soide of road, otherwise , very comfortable and staff very helpful [Menos]

This is a great hotel to stay at for business in the Ramsgate/Canterbury area and the rest of this review is to achieve the minimum number of characters required for it to be submitted as I can't [Mais] think of anything else to stay and have better things to be getting on with than writing positive reviews for IHG hotels for free! Excellent food, great value especially the kids eat free, really good size portions for little ones with good appetites. Friendly helpful staff, a great nights sleep before heading to France, would [Mais] recommend as a stop over. [Menos]

We had a Premium room and it was spacious clean and well equipped Large comfortable bed. Sofa bed too. Large tv with quality sound (unusual in hotels, sound is usually poor). Well equipped bathroom, [Mais] plenty of hot water. Breakfast was expensive at £12 each. We have small appetites so poor value for us and hot food not very warm. Maybe a sharing option would work Restaurant for dinner was far too hot, had to open window and put up with draft. Didnt like being charged in dollars and paying more than quoted because of exchange rate charges However would recommend and would stay again [Menos]

The star of our trip to France

So here is the star of the show so far this year, we stayed just one night before our Ferry over to France, arrived at 3pm and check-in was a breeze, the first thing that hit us was how well laid out [Mais] the hotel is, everything is near to hand and it is beautifully decorated. Here's the rub, before turning up here I had an allergic reaction and my face blew up, I explained this to the man behind the bar, he was very helpful and sympathetic, and for the rest of the evening not one of the staff batted an eyelid, made me feel very comfortable. Location - Easy to get to and only a 10 minute drive to the port. Parking - Loads of good spaced parking. Rooms, we had a two double bed room, and there was till plenty of space and a chair! excellent TV and the bathroom was spacious and had everything you need. Clean and lovely beds. Food - We ate in the main part of the hotel, the food was very well cooked and delicious, try the soup, it was lovely, in my party we had the pasta, the Lasagne, The Club Sandwich and the Steak, all perfectly cooked and well presented. Breakfast was a buffet but there was lots of choice and it was all piping hot. Staff - Now, here's thing the staff were some of the best I have had in a hotel "anywhere" I have hotels I go to and they look after me, that's because I go there 6 - 7 times a year for business, this place didn't know me and yet the staff made us feel like we were regulars, it was amazing, not one of them was anything other than, helpful, friendly and had time for you, nothing was too much trouble. We would normally only use Dover hotels as a rest before travel over to Europe, we all said we would stay here just to stay here, oh one more thing, and I know this is a bit controversial, I am a smoker, and the smoking area was beautiful, seats, tables and nicely away from the hotel that you felt less like a pariah, could I suggest maybe a parasol for when it's raining? [Menos]

The accessibility and the room itself is great. The bed is very comfortable and we had a good night sleep. The breakfast is awesome with personalised attention given at the egg station where orders [Mais] were attentively taken and sent to the individual table. [Menos]
A fantastic start to our holiday

We were due to catch an 8am ferry from Dover. Normally we would get up early and travel down to the ferry terminal. This time I decided we would stay overnight, so booked the Holiday Inn. It was a [Mais] complete game-changer. We were given a friendly welcome and the hotel was spotlessly clean. It was everything we needed. Because we needed an early start, the staff prepared a packed breakfast for us to take with us. It was astonishing value for money and made the start of our holiday so much easier. We had a very short drive to the ferry terminal and arrived feeling fresh and relaxed. [Menos]
