There was a rock festival going on. The hotel was packed. There was nowhere to park. At check-in, the guest host was very positive and upbeat in spite of being obviously swamped and overwhelmed by
multiple guests checking in at the same time. I did have to wait quite a while to check in, in spite of checking in via the app the morning of our arrival.
The room was very clean and we were so grateful it was on the backside of the hotel which shielded us from the loud music coming from across the highway. Thank you! The room itself was not very quiet. The door hinges on neighboring rooms were squeaky, and with people coming and going at all hours of the night, we were awakened multiple times by hallway noise. Our room was also located near a staff common area and a staff elevator. The staff are not mindful of sleeping guests. Because of the rock festival, people were up late and slept in the daytime - tried to sleep. It’s impossible. The staff are right outside the room with their phone ringer volume turned all the way up and letting it ring 10+ times. They’re out there speaking loudly, laughing, and carrying on with each other. I asked them multiple times to keep it down - well, I attempted to. None of them spoke any English. I held my finger up to my mouth and said, “shhh” hoping that would get the message across. It didn’t seem to matter. I had to work in my room via computer and they were so loud that at times, I couldn’t hear the other person on the other end of my headset.
We needed towels, coffee items, etc. For our room. My husband went into the hallway looking for a staff member, whom we could hear, and he found two housekeeping staff members in a empty guest room sitting on the furniture, obviously and loudly arguing with someone on the other end of a FaceTime call. He attempted to communicate his needs to them, and one of them got up and came out into the hallway. He said he had to point and gesture what he needed because it was impossible to have a conversation with her.
The heat in the hallway is oppressive. I came off the elevator onto the fifth floor, where our room was located, and it was so hot, it made me sick. I got to my room and vomited.
We attempted to order room service one day. Nobody ever answered the phone. I called the guest services desk and the woman that answered basically told me that I was better off coming down and ordering the food and waiting for it. I was working and that was impossible for me to do. I had to send my husband, who was also working. One of the things I wanted that was on their menu was no longer available. The burgers and fries we got were not good. I wouldn’t recommend eating at this restaurant.
The bed was very comfortable. The pillows were also very comfortable and were in a variety of firmness. The air conditioner was quiet. The steam shower was fantastic. It was the highlight of the room. Excellent water pressure and lots of hot water! Great selection of coffee and tea with a Keurig coffee maker. The makeup mirror was a nice touch. I really appreciated the large closet. I wish the room had had a refrigerator. Other than that, nothing was really lacking from the room itself. [更少]
