Overall, my stay was comfortable, but there were a few disappointments. As a Diamond member and an intercontinental ambassador, I expected a better room upgrade, especially since there were plenty of

villas available. However, I was only given an "ocean view" room—which barely had a view of the ocean.
The staff were very attentive and provided excellent service, particularly the team at the breakfast restaurant. However, one day the turndown service was missed, which was unexpected.
The facilities felt a bit lacking. The pool was large but less luxurious compared to similar hotels in this category, and the water temperature was noticeably warm. Additionally, there were no shared amenities like saunas, jacuzzis, or showers.
The beachfront restaurant, Pier 8, was a highlight. It had a fantastic atmosphere, with fire dancing and live music in the evening. Since the main restaurant was under renovation, Pier 8 was also used for breakfast. While the open-air setting was charming, it’s hot and makes you sweaty, and the restaurant’s compact size limited the variety of food options available.
Lastly, the cocktail service, which I heard had been provided daily as compensation for the renovations, is now only available on Fridays. This change was disappointing, as it had been a thoughtful gesture for guests. [Weniger]
