This is a Nice hotel in the heart of downtown. But beware that some amenities need work.
We were travelling through Vancouver on our way to the Interior Of BC. We chose this hotel because I had stayed there years ago and found it comfortable and handy to down town, but primarily because

there was a rental car service right in the lobby. The Rental car was booked a good month ahead of our arrival, and was specifically to be a mid size car and it was to have winter tires because we were going to be travelling over th mountain passes in March. The first thing that happened was that they did not have the size car we had requested, so they "upgraded" us to a full size car. I wasn't happy as that means more fuel required for the trip, but said Ok. They then brought up a car that not only did not have winter tires but had very worn all season tires. I refused this vehicle because of the tires. I was then offered an SUV, but they would be charging a higher rate if I chose that. Again I declined, and reminded them that I had an accepted offer from them in writing. They then said they would give me a "premium" car with winter tires and all wheel drive at no extra cost, so I said "fine" as I was now about an hour late for an appointment, even though it meant even higher fuel usage. When the car arrived I glanced at the tires on the drivers side, and loaded our luggage. Only after we had left the hotel did I notice that there was only 3/4 of a tank of fuel, the interior was filthy and smelled, and the dash had a number of error messages on it. When Itried to charge my phone, the power point didn't work, and when I pulled onto the freeway, I discovered the cruise control didn't work. The next morning when I started the vehicle, it showed low tire pressure, so I went to a service station to air up the tires... That is when I discovered that the tires on the passenger side were two different types, one winter and one all season, and on top of that neither of them matched the drivers side tires... [Less]
