The front desk receptionist was very cheerful and welcoming. She thanked me for my membership and told me how many points I was going to get for my stay. She told me about my room and about the pool,
gym, and breakfast in the morning. She was very helpful. After we got settled into the room we decided to try to find a local coffee shop, when Google Maps was less than helpful at finding something that was open we asked the receptionist about what could be open in the area and she went above and beyond looking up local places and telling us with directions on how to get to some places.
Our room had a jacuzzi tub which was very nice. The room was clean and the bed was comfy. There was a chair in ottoman in our which was also very comfortable. We had a working fridge, microwave, and coffee pot in a little kitchenette area. Everything was clean and operational. The TV got clear reception. The WiFi for some reason didn't work in our room but worked in the hallway. This didn't bother us because we had no real need for the WiFi at the moment. We did not even mention it to anyone at the hotel, had we I am sure they would have worked on fixing this issues. There was a desk and desk chair in the room had we needed it.
The jacuzzi tub worked on a timer but if you weren't quite done, you just pushed the button again. The tub was very roomy and held the heat excellent. Our shower worked as it should and the shampoo and condition and body wash bottles attached to the wall were clean and full.
The pool area was not stuffy and humid. It seemed well ventilated. The pool was very clean and the water temperature was great. The towels were stocked for the pool area and the receptionist actually brought more towels to make sure there was enough as we were swimming. The hot tub in the pool area has some complications. There was a very clear sign on the handle of the hot tub stating that the heating pump was broken and the temperature was not ideal. It was also very clean and the jets for the hot tub worked but we did not get in as it was too cold. We did not use the gym but we looked in and everything looked very clean in there as well.
The hallways were very quiet at night and we were not disturbed during our sleep at all. Even in the morning it was not loud in the hotel.
We went down for the breakfast in the morning where we were greeted by the receptionist and a few other workers in the hotel. Everyone was friendly. The breakfast bar had waffle biscuits, sausage gravy, cereal, milk, yogurts, eggs, turkey sausage, bacon, pancakes, bagels, bread/toast, muffins, cinnamon rolls, fresh hot coffees, teas (tea bags), and hot chocolate (packets). The gentleman that was preparing the food was friendly and made sure all the foods were hot and fresh the whole time we were there. After the plates and such were moved to the trash he would wipe down the table and chairs after each use. There was a TV in the dining area and they allowed the guests to control the TV. We conversated with others and were not rushed through the meal. It was relaxing.
Check out was a breeze. Again, everyone was friendly during checkout. The only downside to the hotel was that it seemed a bit outdated but the receptionist told us that they are getting ready to remodel the whole building so the upgrades are coming. [Less]
