With 30 well-appointed and conveniently located IHG Shanghai hotels from which to choose, there's no excuse not to visit to one of the fastest moving cities in the world. Dynamic and constantly evolving, this sprawling urbanity is an inviting playground for forward thinkers and ambitious adventurers. Business is booming and signs of success are evident at every turn, from the towering corporate shrines and big city developments to the throngs of ambitious workers lining the streets every day of the week. Also known as Hu, the city leads the way in science, culture, technology and international trades, and is a world financial center.

Whilst the people of Shanghai work hard, they also know how to party. So, if you want to join in you should head for hot spots such as Sinan Mansion and Surpass Court where you'll find chic restaurants, cocktail bars and nightclubs. It's not all modernism and mayhem however; old Shanghai is peppered with gardens such as the Yuyuan Garden, temples, monasteries, Shikumen houses, street markets and food stalls. If architectural contrasts are of interest, the famous waterfront area known as 'The Bund' hosts a variety of building styles in one place including Gothic, Baroque, Romanesque, Classicism and Renaissance alongside modern structures and monuments.

The Xin Tian Di is a popular draw for shoppers and diners, and features a diverse range of cuisines from across the globe served in a myriad of restaurants, bars, cafes and stalls. Galleries, fashion boutiques, leisure and entertainment facilities can also be found here. Nearby Tianzifang, favoured by some of the world's most influential artists and designers, is home to the city's arts district and offers an even broader selection of galleries, craft and design studios.

The ancient water town of Zhujiajiao is often referred to as Shanghai's Venice. Featuring scenic bridges, gardens and streets you can rest your tired feet aboard a cruise boat or tour the area by bus. However you plan to explore the city, you can find great deals on quality hotels in Shanghai when you choose to stay with IHG. Book your break today and IHG's friendly staff will be waiting to welcome you to this fantastic destination.

Highly recommended hotel
By TravelThe World
I stayed at this hotel every time I come to Shanghai. It is an amazing hotel! The service is outstanding. Personal, friendly and professional. When using the club on the 25th floor, I interacted [More] with the team of Cherry, Alina, Alice, Bess and Mathis. They all remember my preferences for coffee and food, and they all made me feel welcomed. The service in the club is truly exceptional! I also had an outstanding experience working with Jerry and E at the concierge desk who arranged my transportation in Shanghai and airport transfers. Once again - I can't ask for better service. The rooms in the hotel are lovely - comfortable, big, clean and beautiful. I used the gym on a daily basis and was pleased with the setup. The location of 30 minutes drive from the airport, and central location next to Century Park also are a plus. I plan to continue and use this hotel for my future visits. [Less]
Best place to stay in shanghai
By Lostelements
As always great hotel with the best staff, mostly english speaking. So unusual to find a hotel where the staff greet you by name after 6 months [Less]
for a european who undarstands english, german and russian only
By ARTUR_84
The hotel is near a lake and the atmosphere there is very well. The most stuff at the reception understands english good enoth and where very friendly to me, what is very important for me, because I [More] doesn't understand any chinese. The rooms in 3th flor are big enougth and i felt prety confortable. In my first room at the north side of the building it was very cold when I came there, it was 10°C only. I turned on the heater and it got only about 20°C after some hours. On the next day it gets about 22°C but somehow it was still cold in the room, because (maybe the isolation of the building is not very good) I requested to get a new room and I got an other room on the south side of the building. There it was 15°C when I first got there. The heater worked much better there, and reached about 25°C. The isolation is also not so good there, but at this side I doesnt feel so cold anymore. An other not so good thing is, that the Internet is very slow, but that problem a lot of hotels in China have. But this is also a reasom for me to change the hotel, because there are other hotels where I had about 100kb/s downloadspeed which is nasseserry for me. Please do something at this point!! [Less]
Lovely hotel outside downtown - beautiful golf course
By gck2016
Stayed for 4 nights. Beautiful grounds but far from downtown Shanghai or the airport (over 1 hour). Joey at the front desk was very helpful. Breakfast (additional charge) was plentiful and both [More] western and Chinese. Nice appointed rooms and several services. [Less]
Nice property and excellent customer service
By Mannuy
Customer service was excellent and the property is very nice. The only thing I would suggest is to add more shuttle runs to the train station, as the hotel is located in a very remote area with not [More] much to do besides playing golf. [Less]
Convenient
By Stewie
This hotel offers the all round package of convenience, comfort and value. It's located very close to the main Shanghai Railway Station, is very presentable, quiet, clean rooms and they are well [More] serviced. I have stayed here many times and never been disappointed. I don't use all conveniences on offer, but can recommend breakfast as good value. [Less]
OK place to stay
By LMW42
Close to train station for getting around, centrally located. The bathroom is a bit small. The internet is slow for accessing sites outside of China, which is the norm for any hotel in China. Speed [More] test to Chinese web servers is fast. Speed tests outside of China are slow. [Less]
Very good location and convenient
By Wing57
It is located just next to the Shanghai Railway station. There are abundant of shops and restaurants within walking distance. The nearby subway station offers almost everywhere you want to go. [Less]
