Great value, great location
By savvy_dave
Very good value hotel, located on St Georges Mall pedestrianized street on the better edge of the CBD. The location on a pedestrianized street does however make it tricky to access by car. This [More] hotel is just as good as many Holiday Inn properties. Really excellent reception staff with requests dealt with quickly and accurately. Special kudos to Duty Manager Kevin who went out of his way to show us to the Waterfront and recommend good restaurants to us. Our room was very clean, modern and nicely decorated with all the required comforts, including TV, kettle, AC and safe. The bathroom was nicely designed and made good use of the limited space. Excellent water pressure in the shower. The breakfast was surprisingly good, with a decent spread of hot and cold items. In fact the best breakfast buffet I've had in any Holiday Inn Express property. Location is perfect if you want to explore the downtown area. Very short walk to the cathedral, Company's Gardens and Greenmarket Square crafts market. Long Street and Bree Street are also close. It felt safe to us. Not a luxury hotel, but a pleasant and comfortable place to stay. Highly recommended. [Less]
Very well located and great value for money
By Mwaiyai2
This hotel is well located and offers great satisfactory service at great value for money. The staff are helpful, friendly and efficient. With a short 15 minute leisurely walk to the Mining Indaba [More] venue, it makes the hotel a prime choice for that event. The hotel is surrounded by world class restaurants offering international menus and great wine selections. It was an enjoyable stay. [Less]
Good location, good breakfast and modern equipments
By Sylvain77
The bed is a bit small, but this is the only bad point regarding this hotel... our room was on the 14th floor, as a result it was very quiet. Good breakfast, moderate price, good location in down town [More] (close to Long Street). [Less]
