Worth every penny!
By Zackmom
With a family of 5 it is hard to find hotels that will accommodate all of us in one room and be budget friendly! We were skeptical at first to book the room because how could we get such a low price [More] for a suite with 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, living room space, and a full kitchen? Well we were not disappointed in any way! From the moment we called the day we were checking in to tell them we were coming in late to the moment we checked out, we had a perfect hotel for us! It was like over 100 degrees out everyday of our stay, but the air conditioning worked perfectly and was a pleasure to come back to every night. The rooms were spacious and the beds were comfortable! Each bedroom had it's own bathroom and TV. There was a TV in the living room area as well! The kitchen was perfect and stocked with dishes and pans for cooking. If I had to say something we didn't like about our stay it would be that the faucet water is not cold, but there were water pitchers in the frig that we filled and drank from that instead. Every morning they offer a hot and cold buffet for breakfast in the main lobby area, Mon-Wed night they offer a hot buffet for dinner and beer and wine, complimentary! Free shuttle service to nearby attractions or the Metro if you want to go into the city. All in all we had a fantastic stay and will definitely stay again and pass the word on to family and friends! The 2-bed, 2-bath suite was perfect for my vacation with the in-laws! [Less]
Great place for a group

We had 22 people staying in four rooms. The sofa bed was typical, but the other beds were comfortable. It was our second time there, and I would be happy to do it again. [Less]
Adequate place, but a ways from the subway
By paul8539
Came to the area attending a conference. I have stayed at this location before, so I came back. Check in was mostly smooth. When I asked about parking, I was told that it would be an extra $16 a [More] day. The reservation system that I used said nothing about this. But at any rate, I was not charged it on the final bill. I was not charged parking previously; I am not sure why they tried it now. The room was above average. Bed was good. Had some problems with the TV, such as speed in flipping channels, lack of electronic program guide, channel listing hard copy not correct. But nothing that was a big issue, and I did not watch TV all that much. When I tried to use the business center, I needed a login and password; it was not posted, so I had to ask the desk. I was able to do what I needed to do. I had breakfast the morning that I left. I had the breakfast buffet. There were less than average selections for a higher than average price, but I made a meal out of it. The restaurant has completely changed since the last time I was here. It is a lot more fancier now; and higher prices. Parking in the garage was a bit of a hassle, but I manage to find a spot when I needed it. The turns were a bit sharp. The shuttle to the subway was not frequent enough; in one case, it was faster for me to walk than to wait for the next one. Overall, a pleasant visit. Might stay here again if I don't need the subway. [Less]

The room and hotel were amazing. The Windows should be updated to be kept closed and keep noise out. Great location! [Less]
Fantastic Location

Fantastic location. Next to the National mall and Whitehouse. Service was good. Was able to checkin early as Spire Elite status. But no room upgrade. Had dinner at Occidental restaurant which is [More] part of this hotel. Pricey but tasty food. Good service. I would definitely stay here again. [Less]
