Featured Chicago Hotels

Chicago is a land of rich culture, unique architecture, delicious food, famous winds and more. The city—America’s third largest—is home to more than 2.7 million people, which rises to 10 million when you include residents of the greater Chicago area. It is a great sports town, where the Bears shuffled up a Super Bowl victory, Michael Jordan once ruled the NBA, and the Cubs and White Sox still swing for the fences. With dozens of Chicago hotels to choose from, IHG has the perfect room for your visit to this major Midwestern city. Plan your trip to Chicago with additional tips from the IHG Travel Blog, starting with our

Things to See
One of Chicago’s foremost attractions is 360 Chicago (formerly John Hancock Observatory). Located on the 94th floor of John Hancock Center, it offers 360-degree views from a 17,000-square-foot observation deck, and visibility of up to 50 miles—a range that includes Chicago’s skyline, four nearby states and Lake Michigan. You can also dine and shop, or test your mettle at Tilt, a glass-enclosed platform that extends outward from the building at a 30-degree angle as you lean against it.
Lincoln Zoo, which offers all guests free admission year-round, has hundreds of mammals, birds, reptiles and amphibians for your family to meet. You can explore the city’s rich and fascinating past at Chicago History Museum, admire the abstract at Museum of Contemporary Art, and take a boating tour of waterside wonders at Navy Pier, which also
features mini-golf and a 150-foot Ferris wheel. You’ll find great live music at Green Mill, amazing urban architecture at Millennium Park, and a whole universe to discover at Adler Planetarium.
Hotels in Chicago
Chicago hotels offer a variety of ways to make your visit as comfortable and convenient to your needs as possible, whether you’re traveling solo for business or seeking a relaxing vacation with loved ones.
Where to Stay
Book a room on Magnificent Mile, a bustling section of Michigan Avenue with upscale shopping and entertainment, if you want to be in the heart of Chicago's action. The scenic and walkable area that includes Gold Coast and Old Town has a thriving nightlife, while Lincoln Park and Wrigleyville have fantastic nearby attractions for fun-seeking families.
How to Get to Chicago
O'Hare International Airport is one of the world’s busiest airports and has a variety of ground transportation options. Midway International Airport handles mostly domestic flights and is unlikely to be as crowded as O'Hare, and other choices include Gary/Chicago International Airport and Chicago Rockford International Airport. Several Chicago hotels have shuttle service, however it’s a good idea to investigate public transportation options in the event it is not offered by your hotel.

Check in staff and maids were friendly. Room wasn’t the cleanest it could be (dust and hair on bathroom floors) and chair/ottoman could use cleaning or replacing. Heavily stained and quite frankly [More] unappealing to sit on. [Less]

Airport transportation iffy
By Fred
They have limited transportation to and from the airport even with notification ahead of arrival or on site request the day before departure. Uber adds another cost to your stay. Otherwise the hotel [More] is comfortable and clean. [Less]

Ambassador Check In members are amazing!
By TunaDM
Your staff on site is sensational. From the valet service, to members in the lobby offering to make a reservation, to the front desk rep walking me to the concierge I'm overly impressed! My room was [More] quaint, but nice. The steakhouse was sensational! At checkout was the best moment as well. I think her name was Paula or Karen, she was the Ambassador check in desk agent. It was 4am and I was leaving early to catch a flight, but I had a pleasant conversation with your rep. She made me want to stay another night. I wish I had known about the chance to tour the location and see some of the ball rooms and other areas of the hotel. I've never met somebody who knew so much about their property and was eager to encourage me to come back. Thanks to all of the positive interactions, I would absolutely love to make a trip back to the area just so I can spend some more time with the people who take the time to appreciate frequent travelers and Ambassador members. Please send my thanks to your entire staff! A job well done! [Less]

Needed to go to Cubs playoff game. At checkin staff guided me in locating a ticket. I took a quick nap and then I was able to take hotel shuttle back to Ohare and train downtown. Room was clean [More] and comfortable. Next time I'm in town, I will be staying with them again. [Less]

Way better than an airport seat!
By BBhreagh
We stayed here because we had an 8 hour overnight layover at O'Hare. It was definitely a hassle getting to the room. I had to call twice before the shuttle came, and because we arrived so late, our [More] room had been canceled. I had reserved a room with a sofa bed, but only 1-bed rooms were available. But at least we got a room! We were only in it for 4 hours, but it was worth it. It was quiet and comfortable. I was able to take a nap and a shower, charge up our electronics, make coffee, and eat our microwaveable snacks. A package of microwave popcorn was provided which was a nice touch. [Less]
