Featured New Orleans Hotels

New Orleans is a world unto itself, where delicious food, Mardi Gras revelry and inimitable music are all part of the city’s traditions and character. It’s difficult to avoid falling for its lovely European architecture, and the city’s sights and sounds mingle to create a powerful experience no vacationer is likely to forget. New Orleans’ subtropical climate means you can expect fairly warm weather, and remember that summer is the city's wettest season, so pack an umbrella.
Things to See
This eclectic Southern city will undoubtedly satisfy your taste buds with delicious Cajun and Creole cuisine, but it will also delight your other senses. If you're craving a party, you won’t have to wait until Mardi Gras to visit. You can wander down Bourbon Street any day of the week to take in New Orleans' outstanding nightlife. Mellow out with the blues at Funky Pirate, ride the mechanical bull at Bourbon Cowboy or put on a karaoke show at Cat's Meow. If you still want more of New Orleans' music scene, head over to Frenchmen Street to hear authentic local jazz at landmarks like Snug Harbor.
New Orleans has more than just nightclubs to keep you enthralled. Jackson Square, located in the French Quarter, is a necessary stop for history buffs. Gaze at the Cabildo, the building where the Louisiana Purchase changed the nation forever, and admire the St. Louis Cathedral before meandering through the Presbytère’s Mardi Gras exhibit. If you’re traveling with children, City Park has hundreds of acres of open green
space. Storyland and Carousel Gardens Amusement Park are sure to please the youngest members of your group.

Where to Stay

If you want more serene surroundings, Marigny is a quiet residential neighborhood near the French Quarter with plenty of things to do. Mid-City is another low-key area with lovely green spaces and easy access to downtown.

No French Toast?
By Djsonn
Nice hotel. I was hoping to get my favorite for breakfast.. french toast. But no.. apparantly not on the breakfast menu. Oh well. The servers were outstanding. Extremely comfortable bed and [More] linens. Slept very well. Not a big selection of HG channels.. disappointing. Room was clean except for some crumbs on a chair. AC worked really well. I was upgraded to a suite.. thanks!! Overall.. a good hotel, but the restaurant is not the best. Easy access to airport. This was my second stay at this place.. both times have been good experience. Fantastic all around motel close to New Orleans
By 1966 to 2016
Usually staying in Slidell when we visit New Orleans, we were very pleased with being in Harvey this time. The motel was great from the staff to the comfort and cleanliness of the room; the [More] excellent included continental breakfast; the well equipped exercise room; the convenience of the computer room; the usefulness of the great room for visiting and enjoying the free popcorn; the included amenities of coffeemaker, iron and ironing board, and hairdryer; and the washer and dryer available for use. We were close enough that we were able to drive easily to New Orleans, and the Slidell/ Covington area as well as enjoy the numerous nearby eating establishments. The motel was located in a clean area and it seemed very secure. It was so nice being welcomed and greeted by the members of the staff, and they all seemed to be working and doing their jobs efficiently and in a friendly manner. We wish to thank everyone at this motel for we had a wonderful time (we were there with other Charity Hospital School of Nursing 50th reunion members). [Less]
Very Impressed with Consistent Good Stay
By CharliesTheMan
I've been quite happy with the staff, management, and condition of the facilities. I travel for business five days a week usually, and this hotel has consistently been exceptional. It's usually quiet [More] in my room, and they offer me the suite which includes a small dining area and separate bar for the Keurig machine, and they even have some kitchen/dining amenities in the cabinets like paper plates, paper towels, etc. The breakfast is some of the best I've ever had, and hard to believe it's included with the price of the room. The ladies in the dining area were quite polite and worked very hard to make sure guests had everything they could possibly need, and this probably contributes to the quality of the breakfast foods they serve. The cinnamon rolls alone will make you want to come back. [Less]
Wonderful Stay
By BuffaloMom12
We were in town for a wedding and was very pleased with this hotel. The staff is friendly and the hotel is clean! Kyle checked us in with an impressive warmth and friendliness that we greatly [More] appreciated after our 20+ hours trip from Buffalo, NY. Iesha, the room attendant, saved us after our long day. It was a great relief to come back to a beautifully serviced room. We loved our stay, we loved the atmosphere and we felt like the hotel represented the Holiday Inn Express brand very well! Nice hotel! [Less]
Great service and staff were very friendly
By Don6974
Our stay started on 9/19/2016 and ended 9/22/2016. we arrived earlier than expected but the staff had a room ready and let us check in before 3 PM. I love to walk and my wife took advantage of the [More] time to rest. I visited several places in the area and I never had any trouble during my walking endeavors. I enjoyed the breakfast. I never tried the lunch or dinner menus so I can't address those meals. My wife felt completely safe in the room while I was out walking. [Less]
