No cookies anymore!
By marbr
I have stayed at this hotel about 5 times. It is always comfortable and clean, with a good breakfast. Check in was lousy this time and they don't have cookies in the lobby anymore (how expensive are [More] cookies when compared to making return customers happy? Three of us, out of five, waiting to check in all noted the removal of cookies and that it made us feel less welcome.) It is a straight shot to Gillette Stadium, which is why I stay there. It is about 5 miles, who knows how long it takes on game days. [Less]

Poor value, comfortable bed, boring breakfast bar. [Less]
great area

good review, would recommend staying here again. having me to put more words in this review is not going to change anything. I like the area so lets move on. [Less]
Great location
By Timer889
The room was clean and larger than expected. We were happy with the location and able to walk to the North End where many restaurants were located. [Less]
A Great Choice
By familylist
Being this is an older building (although nicely updated), I was expecting a small room considering it had double beds vice queen. Our room was MUCH larger than I expected, with 4 windows of city [More] views. A great staff, from the front desk to breakfast staff but especially housekeeping. The complimentary breakfast is what you'd expect, but that saves quite a bit of money for a family and gets you out the door to your activities. The T subway is only a block away, but this hotel's location is within walking distance of most of the major sites. [Less]
Good experience and nice staff
By Mackinac8
The location of this hotel is perfect for sightseeing in Boston. It's an easy walk to about anywhere on the Freedom Trail. The breakfast was some of the best I've had at a hotel. The cinnamon [More] rolls were still warm and incredibly good. Elaine and Graciela, who were attendants at breakfast, are just great. Very friendly and they made a point of asking about your plans. They had some good tips on places to visit. Great experience. My only complaint was it was very pricey but it is Boston, after all so maybe that is to be expected. [Less]
Amazing view and prompt service.
By DJS1003
First time staying at an Intercontinental property, and, as a member of the Ambassador program, our room was upgraded to an enormous suite with an amazing view of the water. Service was very [More] straight-forward and honest when we were informed that our rooms were not ready at check-in. No problem though. They looked after our luggage while we went out for an early dinner, with the promise that our rooms would be ready when we returned. Also, they provided us with free breakfast vouchers for all of our members, which we used at Miel Brasserie Provençale. (Awesome breakfast by the way!) There was a brief issue with the key cards on our return, but that was fixed immediately at the front desk. Main point being, even with the minor inconveniences, we felt well taken care of throughout our whole stay. Service was always prompt, courteous and helpful each step of the way. Rooms themselves were spacious and clean. The provided amenities in the bathroom were useful and we enjoyed the fruit and chocolates provided. InterContinental Boston will always be my first choice! Convenient location and welcoming staff
By MaineProf
I booked this hotel for a nearby conference at the convention center, which is an easy 1-mile walk away. The access from I-93 was convenient and the hotel was strategically located near many [More] interesting (and good!) restaurants. Every staff member was very friendly and made us feel welcome there. I really appreciated the firm mattress. Although our room was close to the elevators, we did not hear them thanks to the room design. The room was very clean. [Less]
Had better Intercontinental experiences
By TechGuyfromCA
This was an okay experience staying at an Intercontinental. The room was not very clean, there were spots on the carpet and there was some gooey stuff on the window sill. Heating in the room was very [More] unpredictable as it became very hot sometime or it became very cold. Staff was courteous and helpful. I am uploading an image of the gooey stuff on the window sill which was not cleaned during my two night stay [Less]
