4 night's stay on a business trip

The property is on par with other Holiday Inn Express locations -- and that is why I choose HIE. Staff was friendly and breakfast room was well kept even given the high traffic levels. Stairwells [More] were maintained well (for those of us who rarely use the elevator). Room was well-apportioned albeit a bit dated. Cons? The thermostat was set on minimum 66F for the entire visit, yet the temperature of the suite was in the 74F range. Perhaps the blower needs help ... it seemed to be a bit weak. Also, the only extra 120V receptacles were found at the desk. Travelers these days desire 120V outlets near the bedside for all the gadgets we lug around all day and attempt to charge at night. It might be a good idea to begin replacing beside lamps with ones providing such outlets. [Less]

Great experience

I stayed at the I-85 Holiday Inn Express while in town for a conference for 5 nights. The room was very clean, and I was delighted that all rooms have a micro-fridge and microwave. The noise level [More] was good, the room was maintained very well during my stay, and it was overall a great experience. My only complaint would be that the humidity level in the room was off the charts - I had to leave the room at the coldest temperature setting in an attempt to keep the humidity down, which resulted in me freezing all the time! It made for a pretty good sleeping situation though (although maybe too good!). [Less]

Need to do more often

We thought we had a reservation elsewhere but it fell through. We were able to get a reservation with Candlewood and it saved us, as most everything else was booked. My son hurt himself and they not [More] only let us borrow crutches, they sent them home with us. [Less]
