Stayed for business during New Years Eve week 2018/2019 in Sao Paulo Intercontinental.
To start with we were a bit puzzled to hear that the Club Lounge was closed during some days around New Year
and New Years Eve dinner banquet in the hotel was sold out;
but then we met Sadrac and his team in the bar, who compensated everything and more than that. Sadrac made sure we had a wonderful New Years Eve with a lot of fun. Thanks a lot!!
After the Lounge reopened we were in the evenings after business meetings during the day kind of torn between Jacqueline and her team in the Lounge and Sadrac from downstairs. But somehow they teamed up and gave us some additional surprises. Well done both of you.
In the hotel everything was above expectations also noticed by some of our business visitors.
The location of the hotel is very good, safe and in walking distance to the main street / shopping road Avenue Paulista. Transport from Airport to hotel and back is best organised through the bookable hotel limousine service, very reliable and on time.
.... Important to know, if you like to visit Sao Paulo during New Years Eve (very much recommended!!) Just before midtnight literally everybody walks the short distance to Avenue Paulista (a multi lane main road) which is blocked for all trafic and there you can welcome the New Year together with some 2 Million people, all happy and excited. Same road is also closed on weekends for trafic, another "must experience" (lots of music, street entertainment and happy people) when staying at the Intercontinental Sao Paulo.
Thanks again Intercontinental Sao Paulo, Sadrac and Jacqueline, you made this business trip a nice experience also on the more private side. We will be back as soon as there is an opportunity. [Less]
