We chose to stay at this hotel because we love the InterContinental brand and the service that comes with it. While the hotel was a little far from where we were planning to spend the majority of
our time, it was worth the sacrifice. The hotel is close to the subway (about 5 minutes walk) and there is a Starbucks nearby on the same side of the street.
Our room was very nice and had a great city view and living space with a soaking tub and separate shower. The one thing we didn't like was that the heat was on constantly and there was not a way to turn it down to a comfortable temperature.
Breakfast was great and there was a huge selection. The restaurant and lobby area were freezing however and were not comfortable to hang out in for long periods of time which is quite the opposite of the bedroom which was too warm.
We had an issue with our stay with our Ambassador status, however, when we notified them of the mistake, the hotel immediately resolved the problem and gave us Club InterContinental access for our final day which more than made up for the error.
I also read in reviews that many people did not speak English at the hotel. I did not find this to be true. We did not encounter anyone at the front desk who did not speak English. A couple people around the hotel did not, but when they were asked a question, they immediately went and found someone that could assist.
I would gladly stay here again. The pros far outweighed the cons and the hotel staff was very nice. [Less]
