Good room, best "free" breakfast, great location
The hotel was one of the options available through Southwest on a vacation package. Have done three vacations to San Diego this way. This was the best of the three hotels that we have used.
Excellent location in Mission Valley and was central to everything we wanted to do. The room was exactly what would be expected for this level of hotel, not exceptional, but clean with a good bed for sleeping. Liked that the bathroom had only a shower rather than the tub/shower combination most hotels have. As far as the express breakfast. Ate there every morning and felt like it was a good start to the day. Pancake machine was a level of entertainment not just good pancakes.
Only issue was housekeeping neglected dumping the garbage on one day, so don't know what else they missed.
Will consider staying here again if visiting San Diego. [Less]
Vacation trip to San Diego
We stayed here for our family vacation. This hotel is probably only about 1 to 2 years old so it is in excellent condition and it has all the great new features. We will stay here again. Staff was
awesome...very helpful. Be warned that parking is not free and this is a pretty kid popular destination. I knew this when I booked so it wasn't a problem for me. Only criticism I have is that the staff is short for the amount of people that eat breakfast and had a hard time keeping up. If I return to SD I will stay here. [Less]
This hotel is new and clean! The property is well maintained. We arrived and were greeted promptly. The staff was friendly and attentive. Our room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The rooms are
quiet. We did go to the pool and kids swam a bit but ended up in the jacuzzi! The property is close to Old Town and has easy freeway access. The breakfast area is large and food was replenished frequently. If you're looking for a place to sleep while visiting San Diego attractions this hotel fits the bill. [Less]
