Things to See

For outdoor enthusiasts, a trip to Vancouver’s largest urban park, Stanley Park, is essential. Take a bike ride along one of the many trails and see the scenic views of the North Shore Mountains, the Vancouver Harbor, and the English Bay or check out one of the tours offered at the park. If you would rather stay indoors, head over to the Vancouver Aquarium or Science World at TELUS World of Science, great for children and adults alike. More of a city explorer? Downtown Vancouver offers numerous art galleries, boutiques and a bountiful culinary scene, with West Coast seafood (oyster, wild salmon, etc.) and sustainable ingredients at the forefront.

Located on the east end of downtown Vancouver, Gastown offers rich culture and historic buildings as one of the oldest neighborhoods in Vancouver. Kitsilano, another popular neighborhood of Vancouver, attracts a bit of a younger crowd and is home to one of Vancouver’s most popular beaches, known as “Kits” Beach. Situated along the Seaside Seawall System, Kits Beach houses Canada’s longest swimming pool, beach volleyball courts, and playgrounds for the whole family to enjoy.

For the most part the hotel was a delight. The beds and room were clean and comfortable. Though lacking spaciousness for its price. The pool is small and appears to be dirty. The fitness centre, the [More] same. However breakfast choices were ok, slightly dry and cold by the time we ate. In general, everything was fine. [Less]

I love this hotel for the way the staff make u feel at home and they are always there to help you with anything. I thank them all for that and I love the whole feel of the hotel. I miss the whale in [More] the pool though and remind all hotels and motels to regularly clean all drains, as they get glogged with hair and what nots. But overall I love this Holiday Inn in Vancouver, B.C. on Howe Street and not to mention it is right down town. [Less]

Holiday Inn Vancouver Airport has some wonderful people working for them. only critique would be that there are no black out curtains on windows. The window only has sheer curtains and thicker curtains on sides are decorative only and do not close. [Less]
