Featured Los Angeles Hotels

With its year-round moderate temperature, nearby beaches, star-studded nightlife, sizzling culinary scene and wealth of world-famous tourist attractions, Los Angeles is one of the world’s greatest and most famous destinations. This sprawling city covers 467 square miles and is home to approximately 140 nationalities of people speaking 224 different languages, making it one of the most diverse cities in the world. It is also the birthplace of the world's movie industry and home to many of the big screen’s biggest celebrities and talents No matter your reason for visiting, IHG has excellent Los Angeles hotels not far from the city’s best local attractions.

Things to See

One of L.A.’s most popular activities is a guided bus tour, which takes groups through Hollywood and Beverly Hills, giving glimpses of the city's major attractions and your favorite stars' homes. A tour of Universal Studios in Hollywood is a must for movie buffs. Combining a functioning movie studio and amusement park, it has fun rides for the entire family, including Jurassic Park, Transformers 3-D and Despicable Me Minion Mayhem rides. For the grown-ups, The Getty Center has thousands of paintings by iconic artists like Van Gogh and Monet, as well as beautiful sculptures and antiquities.

Hotels in Los Angeles

If you plan to spend a lot of time shopping, dining and relaxing on the beach, consider Santa Monica, located on L.A.’s western edge with easy access to Santa Monica and Venice beaches, and the popular Third Street Promenade restaurants and shops. Beverly Hills and West Hollywood also have plenty of luxury hotels if you wish to experience the glitz and glamor of the Los Angeles lifestyle.

Where to Stay

The world-famous Strip, still the most popular place to enjoy the never-ending excitement of Los Angeles, has hotels that cater to all. While some enjoy being in the middle of the action, those who prefer a low-key experience can find even more hotels just a few blocks from the Strip many of which offer a more affordable price and level of luxury. Consider downtown L.A. if you want to stay within the city limits without spending a fortune. Along with bustling nightlife and shopping, downtown is home to Staples Center, where you can catch a Lakers game or concert, ,and a multi-cultural culinary offerings perfect for serious foodies, such as sushi in Little Tokyo and Mexican taquerias on Olvera Street. L.A.’s public transportation system is limited, and traffic can be quite agitating for first-time visitors. By finding a hotel in an L.A. area or neighborhood convenient to your trip highlights, you'll dramatically cut down on any potential loss of time caused by gridlock.

Excellent Stay!
By jnjgs
Comfortable, roomy, updated, clean, quiet and luxurious feeling. Suite rooms have a nice living/kitchen area, 3 tvs, 2 bathrooms, 2 computer desks. Outstanding amenities of breakfast and cocktail [More] hour with wine, quality hamburgers, hot dogs and warm chocolate chip cookies offered. Friendly staff, easy parking, safe and non-congested area yet close to shopping and freeway access to beaches and other area attractions. [Less]
Felt Like Home
By JHLPN4
We had an almost last minute stay here at the Staybridge Suites in Torrance/Redondo Beach, after being in the area for a memorial service. Staff members were so friendly and accommodating. The 2 [More] bedroom/2 bath suite felt like home-away-from-home; very comfortable. I will definitely be staying at this location again in the future. [Less]
Great hotel
By renrow
We stayed for a wedding over the weekend and it was wonderful hotel, staff and environment. It was quiet, clean and comfortable, so much so that we stayed an extra night because we liked the room [More] and hotel so much. It's close to the beaches, and mall and was perfect. [Less]
Amazing Experience
By BrittnJay
Unfortunately, I wrote out a great review on a previous part of the survey and I didn't save it. However I will make this short, but effective. The entire staff here is amazing, valet provided us [More] with a VIP-like experience and was always attentive, the suite was wonderful and always kept clean, the free breakfast was great, and overall I don't think I've ever stayed in such a nice hotel! As a young couple, we appreciate all the little things and really value the level of hospitality we received from the team members here, and can't thank everyone enough for making our vacation that much better! Nice and New
By Da808beast
Took the fam to Disneyland and had an overall great stay. 4th floor room was new and very clean. Staff was friendly and professional. Location is less than 5 min walk from the main entrance. You will [More] be charged a nightly parking fee whether you valet your vehicle or not. Valets were great - helpful and friendly. If you're a light sleeper, try to get a room away from the freeway as traffic noise can be an issue. The only issue I had was with the weak water pressure of the water conserving shower head but that's just a minor pet peeve. Breakfast from 630-930 is the typical breads, fruits, eggs, sausage, yogurt, juices, coffee and is free. I would definitely stay here again when visiting Disneyland. [Less]
Great Value and Location
By MW12345678
Very clean and new hotel within walking distance of Disneyland. Room was large and clean and the price was much less than the Disneyland resorts. Free breakfast was nice as well, will be back. [Less]
Comfortable stay in LA near downtown
By peejay59
Experienced a comfortable stay in Westlake area at this highly rated HI Express. Agree with most positive comments and compared to downtown LA, the price was right and free parking too. Just a [More] few comments to share include that the top floor is best since the sound barrier between other floors is not good. You can hear others walking above and if you're a light sleeper, this could an issue. Also, two of three nights a police chopper hovered near the hotel area for 20 minutes each time with full spotlight searching for something/someone. Neighborhood is not ideal so stayed in the hotel at night. Next door is an abandoned dilapidated building - not a nice view from my window in 414. [Less]
Good
By bububu09
Good hotel with a good location. Room was clean however bed was too soft for our liking. Didn't get the chance to try the breakfast so can't comment on that. Otherwise, it's a good stay. [Less]
