Featured Atlanta Hotels

As the fourth largest city in the U.S., Atlanta attracts nearly 15 million travelers from all over the world each year. The warm, sunny climate is great for spring and fall outdoor activities, intriguing museums, captivating performing arts, and a thriving culinary scene. This Georgia destination caters to tourists of many interests, but whatever your tastes, IHG® has Atlanta hotels that will help you get the most out of your visit.

Things to See

A popular destination for business and leisure, with landmarks ranging from the childhood home of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., to the world headquarters of CNN, Atlanta hosts the corporate headquarters for a number of successful global companies, some of which have created popular attractions highlighting their brands for tourists in addition to maintaining office properties. Delta Air Lines calls Atlanta home and has a 68,000-square-foot Delta Flight Museum in Hapeville, which is just minutes south of town and is also where the Chick-Fil-A empire began, from a quirky diner called The Dwarf House. Coca-Cola has also made a lasting mark on Atlanta with the World of Coca-Cola, an expansive attraction that holds a 4-D theater, a bottle works exhibit, a pop culture gallery, and a sampling area with over 100 beverages from around the world. Porsche’s North American headquarters is also in the Atlanta area, and has a $100 million Experience Center with an upscale restaurant, a museum where vintage Porsche cars are displayed, and a 1.6-mile racetrack where you can test-drive different models of the iconic automobile. History buffs will love the Atlanta History Center, which includes the 1928 Swan House, 1860s Smith Family Farm, Goizueta Gardens, Kenan Research Center, and Centennial Olympic Games Museum. For family friendly fun, don’t miss the Georgia Aquarium, LEGOLAND Discovery Center Atlanta, or the giant pandas and gorillas – America’s largest collection—at Zoo Atlanta. With a noted reputation for cultivating talent in performing arts, and as one of the world’s most influential places for dining, Atlanta has earned its place as a great place for entertainment.

Hotels in Atlanta

Atlanta offers a wide range of hotels all around the city, from historic College Park near Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport, to the top-end perimeter area leading to Dunwoody, Alpharetta and other northern suburbs. With luxury hotels, extended stay suites, and relaxed rooms for those seeking simplicity and convenience, hotels in Atlanta offer cozy choices for everyone.

Where to Stay

Great hotels in Atlanta for business travelers are typically found downtown. This puts you just 15 minutes from the airport and conveniently close to the convention and entertainment district. Centennial Olympic Park, Philips Arena, the College Football Hall of Fame and Mercedes-Benz Stadium are downtown as well, which makes the area a prime pick for sports and leisure fans. If you’re looking for a neighborhood with a more sophisticated slant, consider the high-end shopping and fine dining options of the Buckhead neighborhood. Atlanta’s Eastside is known for its eccentric atmosphere, personalities and experiences, including live music, street art, vintage clothing stores, and eclectic bars. The Midtown neighborhood is another hub for Atlanta’s arts and culture, making it a great choice if you’re in town to catch a nationally touring play or to soak up the sounds of the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra. Perhaps the most recently rediscovered areas of Atlanta are the Old Fourth Ward, and West Midtown, which are home to nationally recognized shops, restaurants and lounges. Also be sure to visit the charming Virginia-Highland neighborhood, and don’t miss Ponce City Market, which has become an instant must-see destination for any trip.

How to Get to Atlanta

The Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport is the easiest choice for flying into the city. Atlanta covers a lot of ground, so many visitors find that it’s easiest to rent a car, particularly for attractions that are located outside the city. However, the MARTA train and bus system service many popular shopping, entertainment, and sports venues, and there is a train station located at the airport that takes you directly into the city, heading north. The Atlanta Streetcar operates downtown, and makes a 2.7-mile loop around Georgia State University and other landmarks, with 10 stops that include the King Historic District, Centennial Olympic Park, Park Place, and Sweet Auburn Curb Market.

The bed was super comfortable although the pillows were too fluffy for me. The traffic noise out on Peachtree Street at night was noisier than I'm used to, but not overly excessive. I did get some [More] sleep. [Less]

Friendly staff and excellent location
By Fitmomx2
When you first walk into the hotel you notice how bright and clean the lobby area is and are immediately greeted by friendly staff to check you in. I brought my daughter and friend for a concert [More] that was in walking distance but took advantage of the shuttle service. Although I was the only person on the shuttle, the driver did not hesitate to drive us to the concert and handed me his card and told me to call when I needed a ride back to the hotel. Rooms were very clean and beds very comfortable. Climate control easy to adjust and shades provided adequate darkness for sleeping in the next morning. Overall I enjoyed my stay and had a great experience. [Less]
April 15th overnite stay.

The hotel was AWESOME. Holiday Inn Express need to build every hotel from now on like this one. Being able to walk out of the room and look over the balcony into the lobby area was AWESOME. The [More] waterfall added a very good touch as well. Loved the stay. [Less]
Very helpful staff and comfortable bedding
By Chrissy69
My stay at this hotel was unexpected due to travel delays. As it turned out it was a great experience! I had everything I needed even when checking in at midnight. Would definitely stay here again [More] if back in the area. Convenient to the highway and airport! [Less]
Just what we needed
By TamVA81
We were pulling off of the freeway on the way back home when our transmission went out. We had 8 more hours to go. The car would not make it there so we stopped. The hotel didn't know what I was [More] going through personally but made sure to accommodate us. It was all that we needed. I'm so thankful! [Less]
