Featured Chicago Hotels

Chicago is a land of rich culture, unique architecture, delicious food, famous winds and more. The city—America’s third largest—is home to more than 2.7 million people, which rises to 10 million when you include residents of the greater Chicago area. It is a great sports town, where the Bears shuffled up a Super Bowl victory, Michael Jordan once ruled the NBA, and the Cubs and White Sox still swing for the fences. With dozens of Chicago hotels to choose from, IHG has the perfect room for your visit to this major Midwestern city. Plan your trip to Chicago with additional tips from the IHG Travel Blog, starting with our
Essential Travel Guide to Chicago.

Things to See

One of Chicago’s foremost attractions is 360 Chicago (formerly John Hancock Observatory). Located on the 94th floor of John Hancock Center, it offers 360-degree views from a 17,000-square-foot observation deck, and visibility of up to 50 miles—a range that includes Chicago’s skyline, four nearby states and Lake Michigan. You can also dine and shop, or test your mettle at Tilt, a glass-enclosed platform that extends outward from the building at a 30-degree angle as you lean against it. Lincoln Zoo, which offers all guests free admission year-round, has hundreds of mammals, birds, reptiles and amphibians for your family to meet. You can explore the city’s rich and fascinating past at Chicago History Museum, admire the abstract at Museum of Contemporary Art, and take a boating tour of waterside wonders at Navy Pier, which also features mini-golf and a 150-foot Ferris wheel. You’ll find great live music at Green Mill, amazing urban architecture at Millennium Park, and a whole universe to discover at Adler Planetarium.

Hotels in Chicago

Chicago hotels offer a variety of ways to make your visit as comfortable and convenient to your needs as possible, whether you’re traveling solo for business or seeking a relaxing vacation with loved ones.

Where to Stay

Book a room on Magnificent Mile, a bustling section of Michigan Avenue with upscale shopping and entertainment, if you want to be in the heart of Chicago's action. The scenic and walkable area that includes Gold Coast and Old Town has a thriving nightlife, while Lincoln Park and Wrigleyville have fantastic nearby attractions for fun-seeking families.

How to Get to Chicago

O'Hare International Airport is one of the world’s busiest airports and has a variety of ground transportation options. Midway International Airport handles mostly domestic flights and is unlikely to be as crowded as O'Hare, and other choices include Gary/Chicago International Airport and Chicago Rockford International Airport. Several Chicago hotels have shuttle service, however it’s a good idea to investigate public transportation options in the event it is not offered by your hotel.

Anytime I drive to Chicago the 1st place I stop is the Cumberland Holiday Inn right off 90/94,after a long ride it's nice not to go driving round in Chicago traffic looking for a hotel plus they have [More] a Bar Louie inside how convenient for dinner, always clean with friendly staff, however I will mention that at check out there was an incident with a manager and an employee that delayed everyones check out/check in other than that everything was great as always. Breakfast room staff amazing!
By Maria
The breakfast room staff was so welcoming and accommodating. They went above and beyond to make sure we had a nice breakfast before we began our day. We thought breakfast went until 10, so when we [More] arrived at 9:35, We found most of the food was put away and the staff was cleaning the room. We apologized and were going to go to a restaurant. The staff immediately offered us a nice variety of food. One lady even went and made hot bacon for us. Although they were cleaning up around us, they continuously said "take your time " and "can we get you anything?" We began our day with a full stomach and a smile on our faces. Thank you! [Less]
Suite configuration
By RieRie
I was disappointed the suite was not a true bedroom separate from the living rm area. My husband was just getting off work, it was my hope to let him get an undisturbed nap in the bedroom. But I [More] found myself tiptoeing, being really quiet in the living rm space because the bedroom and living rm are in fact just one largo open area [Less]

The room and atmosphere was nice. The pool was out of order. A hot tub would be a nice addition. Whenever I am in this part of town, I stay here. I love it when they make cookies for the guests! [Less]
