Featured New Orleans Hotels

New Orleans is a world unto itself, where delicious food, Mardi Gras revelry and inimitable music are all part of the city’s traditions and character. It’s difficult to avoid falling for its lovely European architecture, and the city’s sights and sounds mingle to create a powerful experience no vacationer is likely to forget. New Orleans’ subtropical climate means you can expect fairly warm weather, and remember that summer is the city's wettest season, so pack an umbrella.

Things to See

This eclectic Southern city will undoubtedly satisfy your taste buds with delicious Cajun and Creole cuisine, but it will also delight your other senses. If you're craving a party, you won’t have to wait until Mardi Gras to visit. You can wander down Bourbon Street any day of the week to take in New Orleans' outstanding nightlife. Mellow out with the blues at Funky Pirate, ride the mechanical bull at Bourbon Cowboy or put on a karaoke show at Cat's Meow. If you still want more of New Orleans' music scene, head over to Frenchmen Street to hear authentic local jazz at landmarks like Snug Harbor. New Orleans has more than just nightclubs to keep you enthralled. Jackson Square, located in the French Quarter, is a necessary stop for history buffs. Gaze at the Cabildo, the building where the Louisiana Purchase changed the nation forever, and admire the St. Louis Cathedral before meandering through the Presbytère’s Mardi Gras exhibit. If you’re traveling with children, City Park has hundreds of acres of open green space. Storyland and Carousel Gardens Amusement Park are sure to please the youngest members of your group.

If you're all about exploring and don't mind if your hotel doesn't offer a lot of luxurious details, we have a variety of clean, simple and inviting hotels. On the other hand, there are plenty options if you want to indulge; some of our hotels offer stellar views of the river, while others put you right in the heart of the action. Where to Stay

New Orleans' famous French Quarter offers much to visitors, and staying in the area puts you within walking distance of top attractions, which is a bonus since parking in the neighborhood can be tricky. If you want more serene surroundings, Marigny is a quiet residential neighborhood near the French Quarter with plenty of things to do. Mid-City is another low-key area with lovely green spaces and easy access to downtown. You might also want to look beyond New Orleans' borders for a place to stay. Some nearby hotels might offer lower rates, and if you're renting a car, you can still experience the city's charm with ease.

How to Get To New Orleans

Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport is 13 miles from downtown. Some hotels in Louisiana offer shuttle service, so remember to check before you book. You can easily rent a car at the airport or take public transit to the city center.

Perfect for our first new orleans trip
By magiccat
This hotel was perfect in all categories for our first trip to new orleans. walking distanice to Jackson square and Spanish harbor, as well as everything else around it. literally across the street [More] from lukes restraunt which is amazing and starbucks at the corner for your morning coffee. over all the hotel is more business traveler centered but it was fine for us expecially for the price..although hotel fees add up :(.. in and around the hotel we felt completely safe the entire time which was big for us not knowing what to expect in being first timers in the city, 0 % sketchyness. so that alone helped make the trip!. lastly the 24 hour room service saved us. coming back from bourbon st late one night we didn't stop to get food (cause everywhere during tourist season has lines out the door.) Awesomely even room service did not disappoint the new orleans reputation of all food being delicious. I would definitely return to the intercontinental and order room service again and eat at the house reatraunt even in new orleans with so many other options. [Less]

Positive experience
By Jarnkat
We hadn't originally planned on staying at this particular location but when we left the job site we seen that it was only a couple of blocks from where we had to be in the morning. Knowing that [More] we'd get our points was the final deciding factor and I'm happy with the outcome. The front desk clerk was very friendly and helpful and other than the old grumpy lady selling homemade desserts at the door who smelled bad and was rude when I let her know that my daughter has diabetes so I can't buy anything from her, the stay was as good or better than expected. The value is great and I'll be back. [Less]

Great stay
By JoeV
Our stay was just totally enjoyable and a great experience for our 12 yr old granddaughter. She loved relaxing on our street facing balcony and listening to a different quartet each night playing in [More] the lounge. One small problem was there was no microwave to make popcorn and she loves popcorn. I would not hesitate to stay here on my next trip to N.O. [Less]
