Featured New York City Hotels

New York City is the most popular destination in the world, and for good reason. With first-class entertainment options, world-famous landmarks, buzzing street activity and nightlife, it is an epicenter of culture, diversity and excitement. Your choices are seemingly endless when it comes to hotels, which means deciding which hotel to book can be a challenge, as options range from hostels to ultra-luxurious global chains. IHG® can help you find accommodations that cater to your wants and needs while you explore what makes NYC so unique.

Things to See

New York City is home to a multitude of world-renowned landmarks, so prioritizing your time during your visit is essential. For the ultimate sightseeing adventure, consider one of the hotels in Manhattan, home to the Empire State Building, Times Square, Wall Street and the 9/11 Memorial. Manhattan can easily fill your itinerary with must-dos, and a short boat ride across the harbor takes you to the Statue of Liberty. After a day of sightseeing, a stroll through Central Park is an excellent way to unwind.

Hotels in New York City

New York City hosts almost 55 million visitors each year and offers an incredible array of destinations and attractions to explore. Regardless of when you go, where you stay or what you do, there are plenty of hotels to fit your specific needs, and by booking through IHG, you are assured a great stay while you explore New York.

Where to Stay

When considering hotels in New York City, first choose your ideal borough, since each has its own character, advantages and charms. You may want to be closer to the multicultural cuisine of Queens or the tree-lined streets of Brooklyn. Midtown Manhattan is a prime location for visitors wanting to be within walking distance of Broadway plays or 5th Avenue shops, although they can be expensive. If you want to be in the middle of the action, look for a Times Square hotel location. Luckily, there are many reasonably priced hotels inside and outside of Manhattan, and getting around is easy.

How to Get to New York City

The New York City metropolitan area is served by three key airports: John F. Kennedy International Airport, La Guardia Airport and Newark Liberty International Airport in New Jersey, which is only 15 miles from Manhattan. Those visiting the city by rail will enjoy the iconic Grand Central Terminal or Pennsylvania Station, the city's two main railway stations. Travelers with shorter stays may find New York City hotels near major transportation hubs more convenient and more budget-friendly.

The thought of getting around the city can be intimidating for first-time visitors, but traveling throughout the city and its five boroughs is surprisingly easy, thanks to the extensive Metro subway system. Along with its low cost and vast network of routes, the Metro is an efficient way to explore the city. In addition, you can easily hail a cab for a direct route to your destination.

Best Service and Staff around
By Steve
I stay at this hotel weekly because of the great location, service and staff. Always get a good night sleep and its a quick subway ride into New York city or train / drive to Long Island. I highly [More] recommend staying at this hotel. They have completed an addition to the hotel which is opening later this month. [Less]
Great Expierence for a short stay
By MSG JP
The staff was very efficient, they didn't hesitate to check me in and get me to the room. They were very cordial and helpful when I called to let them know that I was planning on checking in late in [More] the day. My soul purpose for the stay was to avoid the heavy traffic from Long Island, and allow enough time to deal with the confusion of the forever "under construction" Airport. The Evening valet parking Attendant was on the spot helping with luggage and securing my vehicle. Despite an early check out the morning Valet Parking Attendant, again was quick to get me my vehicle and help with the luggage. [Less]

Weekend stay
By Guest
My stay with your facility was great, I appreciated the young man on Saturday who assisted me with parking due to a comedy show. I appreciate his willingness to give up his parking space so that I [More] can have someplace to park as a paying guest instead of me having to park at a McDonald's parking lot and waiting until the comedy show was over and then I can bring my car back would have been very inconvenient seeming to how I had to be up at 5am, so waiting until the 2 comedy shows were over would not have worked out with my schedule... I think that it would be wise to at least block off some parking for the guest who paid for the rooms there instead of sending them somewhere else to park. [Less]
Clean and comfortable.
By Rachel
I stayed at hotel for a weekend. The lobby was recently renovated. I loved the plant wall. The room was cleaned perfectly and the staff were friendly. I left my favorite sunglasses down at the [More] pool. By the time I figured out where I left them and called down to the front desk, I learned the pool area was closed, but one of the gentlemen who worked at the front desk went out looking for them with a flashlight. We found them. I was so pleased with the customer service. [Less]

Best Bed all Week
By ManhattanBeachGuy
We were on vacation visiting Boston, Philadelphia and New York. We had a junior suite at the Intercontinental Times Square in NYC. The hotel is well located on 8th Avenue and 44th. It is a short walk [More] to both Times Square itself, Rockefeller Center area and the Intrepid Sea, Air & Space museum. The junior suite was perfect for my wife, son and myself. The sofa folded out to a queen sized bed and there was a room separator between the sofa and king sized bed. Fine for a family of 3 or 4. The bed was super comfortable. I have a bad back and have trouble on hard mattresses. This mattress was pillow top soft without being saggy. The room isn't the largest jr suite I have ever been in but it is roomy enough, great view, and clean and comfortable. The welcome snacks and water were a nice touch (I am a IHG Club member) The hotel has a nice restaurant and bar as well as small gym and pool. We very much enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay here again. [Less]

The bed was sooo comfortable, The staff were great and so friendly. Really enjoyed our stay and when I come back to NY next year I definitely will be staying here again. It was great !!! [Less]
