Things to See

Known as Space City for its longstanding support of America's astronautic adventures, Houston is home to several destinations essential for outer space lovers. The Lyndon B. Johnson Space Center serves as the training ground of America's elite astronauts, while the Space Center Houston features a restored replica of the Explorer space shuttle and hands-on lessons on what life is like on a real space mission. Houston features many professional opera companies, as well as symphony, theater, and ballet organizations, and the city’s Museum District ranks among the top in America. This area features 20 museums, all within easy walking distance of each other, including the Children's Museum of Houston, the John P. McGovern Museum of Health and Medical Science, and the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, or MFAH: the largest art museum in America's southwest. If you want to reconnect with nature, Houston has over 56,000 acres of park space -- more than any other city in America -- with bike paths and hiking trails to aid tourists in making the most of Houston's natural beauty.

Trip to MD Anderson was stressful but staying here made it a lot easier to deal with. Room was not only clean but comfortable, breakfast had a nice variety and use of the shuttle service was a life [More] saver. Staying here took a lot of the worry out of this trip. On the negative side Breakfast could have been served on time at 6:30am instead of 7:00am and my door cards were deactivated one day early and I had to go and get a new ones .On the positive side The [More] personal all seemed to have good attitudes. [Less]
Not as good as othe IHG hotels
By erniebee
This hotel is a great price, but it is not up to the standards of other Holiday Inn Express hotels. The staff is friendly, and tried to resolve issues. The internet service was very poor. Some [More] items were missing from the breakfast menu. The shower head did not work well, even after it was replaced. I will continue to stay at IHG hotels. Just not this one. [Less]

Awesome Staff
By TXRN
I stayed here for work purposes and felt very comfortable and safe. I was unable to check in early (12pm) due to the hotel being at full capacity the night before, however I was able to change into [More] my work clothes in the bathroom and updated the staff I would be checking in late. The room was clean and comfortable and I was surprised at the addition of all amenities including a dishwasher. Even though I would not be utilizing the extra amenities I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. The night front desk lady, Raylynn I think was her name, was very helpful and pleasant to deal with. She really is awesome and helped me with setting up my rewards card, as well as informing me of ways to save as a travel nurse. I recommend the Candlewood Suites of Kingwood to anyone needing a quick layover or an extended stay. This place is very clean, comfortable and and the staff is awesome! [Less]
