Featured Vienna Hotels

We have three Vienna family hotels for you to choose from on your visit to the Austrian capital.

Often referred to as the "City of Music," Vienna is a beautiful city steeped in history. Its many landmarks include the Rathaus building, Stephansplatz, the Parliament Building and the Donauturm. The latter is a tall tower with observatory decks at the top offering impressive views across the whole city.

There are also more than 70 museums in Vienna. These include the Third Man Museum, the Leopold Museum and the wonderful Haus Der Musik museum which has 6 floors dedicated to celebrating music and sound. Kids will absolutely love it.

Shoppers heading to the city's Old City area will be spoiled for choice with numerous alternative shops and independent retailers. The Old City also houses the Golden Quarter, a luxurious shopping area that hosts the flagship store of Louis Vuitton and Emporio Armani amongst others. Vienna also boasts 26 permanent markets, so you really can shop till you drop here.

There are a number of football teams in Vienna, perhaps the best known being Rapid Vienna. They play their home games at the Gerhard Hanappi Stadium.

As a major European capital, Vienna is accessible from the UK through direct flights from cities including London, Manchester and Birmingham. The city is well connected to other cities in Austria by rail (e.g. Salzburg) and also to cities in nearby Germany.

If you're planning a break in this stunning city, check in to one of our Vienna family hotels and we'll make you right at home.

Great Stay
By Gurpal London
Booked at the InterContinental Wien for three nights in March. Getting to the hotel from the airport was fairly simple and reasonable via train and Metro at Euro 3.90. The station, Stadtspark, is [More] opposite the hotel. The checking in process was simple, the hotel is a bit dated (60’s), got a room on the ninth floor facing Stadtspark. The room was a bit on the small side and the bathroom even smaller but it was clean. Definitely needs a renovation. The air-conditioning was not working and it was noisy. Having arrived early we were given our room; the staff spoke English fluently and were welcoming. The traditional Viennese lobby and the incredible chandeliers are really is impressive. The internet did not work on my IPAD. However, the business centre is next to reception with three computer terminals. Decided to go for the Brunch but it was full as the locals had booked in advance, and ended up in a local Greek restaurant TO ELLINIKON that served excellent food. The Breakfast at the hotel had a wide choice of Asian and Western dishes – cannot fault this. Again, the staff were wonderful and attentive. In the room, the bed was comfortable, there was a television, tea [Less]

This was a cosy relaxing stay. The staff were helpful and friendly. Walter and the team in the restaurant were very attentive. Dining there was much fun. The room was clean and spacious. Tv channel [More] choices need improving though. [Less]
Very comfortable bed/room and fantastic service
By Ireland's Eye
We stayed at this hotel on March 10 and were warmly welcomed by the front desk staff. There is a very relaxing, quiet and comfortable lounge area near the front desk. A "Gugelhupf" (famous Austrian [More] cake) is left there for guests to take and enjoy!! It also has many interesting books, in particular, art and design books, as well as, brochures and maps. Our room was fabulous - so clean, comfortable and it was so nice to be able to relax in the bath after a long day. If you are interested in flea markets, then this hotel is the perfect location as it is situated only a few streets/blocks from Vienna's largest flea market - The Naschmarkt. The Naschmarkt is also at the underground stop: Kettenbrueckengass which is only one stop to the world famous Vienna Opera House and Sacher Hotel. There was a great choice of food at breakfast, too, which was served by very helpful and friendly staff. We have stayed at this hotel a few times in the past and will be sure to do so again in the future. [Less]
