When we arrived, the front desk staff was very gracious and patient with my rusty French skills. While she spoke English just fine, she could see that I was trying and so she slowed down and we spoke
in French. This instantly made me feel welcome. Also, the train into Centre Ville Dijon was about a 10 minute walk so we could enjoy the downtown area without dealing with taxis.
The breakfast was WAY better than a traditional, American IHG property. Thank you! Also, it didn't matter what their role at the hotel (bartender, front desk, housekeeping, food service, etc.), everyone made us feel very welcome and comfortable.
The only real down side: The nearby restaurants were not open during posted hours. This hotel is quite remote as far as food and grocery choices. One might want to be prepared and get food ahead of time. [Less]
