Walked straight in to the check in desk and Mr. Isral helped me check in. He acknowledged my Ambassador Club Gold status. Everything went great until he ran my card and I discovered that I failed
to call my card company that I would be traveling. I got that straight with my card company and the rest of check in went smooth. I requested the minibar items to be removed so I could use the refrigerator. Housekeeping showed up promptly to remove the minibar items.
The next morning the housekeeping laundry person came by and I asked if there were still 2 complimentary pieces a day. I found out my last day of my stay there were 2 complimentary pieces a day.
I visited 2 of the property bars, the Q Sports Bar and the Bodega Underground. I used the complimentary drink at the Sports Bar and ordered the mini burger for dinner. The burgers were tasty. The Bodega Underground is a Filipino themed bar. The night I went they had a Filipino band playing. The bar does have a dress code, so no shorts or traditional dress.
If you like shopping the Mall of the Emirates is 2 blocks away and the UAE is building the next worlds largest mall (to replace the Mall of the Emirates) across the highway from the hotel.
I prepurchased the breakfast package so I could get the full breakfast buffet. The club lounge offers a continental breakfast which comes with staying in a club level room. The breakfast buffet is in the Gem Room Restaurant. This is the 3rd time I stayed in this hotel and it's the first time I found the restaurant. It's in the lobby, but the only issue is that the sign for the restaurant is on the back wall, 300 feet from the entrance. I happened to run into the restaurant manager and spoke to him about it and he told me that he was already thinking about putting a sign on the entry way for the restaurant.
I would like to mention the following people for their fantastic service:
Mr. Awifis (sp?), Mr. Isral, Mr. Mansour, Ms. Anju, Ms. Shikha
Ms. Afrin [Less]
