Featured Cardiff Hotels

Choose one of our Holiday Inn® Cardiff hotels to discover the culture-packed, food-loving Welsh capital. Stroll along the banks of the River Taff past the historic treasures at Cardiff Castle to the modern face of the city, Cardiff Bay.

It's just a short hop to the city center from your Cardiff hotel. From riverside Bute Park, you'll get the best views of neo-Gothic Cardiff Castle and its Norman keep. Two thousand years of history are layered beneath the castle's whimsical 19th-century apartments. Cardiff's major museums are free, including the cavernous National Museum Cardiff, its walls hung with French Impressionist paintings. Our hotels in Cardiff are close to the dynamic waterfront development of Cardiff Bay, where modern icons like the National Assembly for Wales (Senedd) catch the eye. Take the kids to the hands-on science center Techniquest. When the sun shines, swap the city for seaside fun and cotton candy at nearby Barry.

Our Cardiff hotels are close to Cardiff Bay. Here you can enjoy a good-value pub meal with a pint of locally brewed Brains bitter, or fresh seafood at an alfresco restaurant. Wander over to the redbrick Old Brewery Quarter for upbeat bars and world flavors, or Roath neighborhood for a late-night snack. Cardiff's cultural scene revolves around opera, ballet and musicals performed in the iconic Millennium Center-free concerts are staged at 1pm most days. Rugby is another Welsh passion, best experienced at gigantic Millennium Stadium on match days. Fresh cockles, creamy fudge, and hand-carved Welsh love spoons are on sale in Cardiff's Victorian arcades and indoor Central Market.

Book a room in our Cardiff hotels in summer for free outdoor concerts at the Cardiff Festival and orchestral highs at the Welsh Proms. Bute Park is ablaze with flowers in spring and fireworks in November.

Good location for Cardiff and the Vale
By MalcolmY
Although an airport hotel, the location is excellent for the general area in easy reach of Cardiff, Llantwit, Barry and many other places of interest. There is no noise issue with the location. Very [More] clean and practical modern hotel geared up for one nighters - we were there for a long weekend to visit family but the hotel is still more than adequate. However, this is reflected in the limited range of breakfast and dinner menu, although we did eat one evening to be pleasantly surprised with the quality of the food in the sense that it exceeded expectations. (No Michelin stars!!). Staff friendly, attentive and welcoming. Rooms of a good size, clean, well presented and comfortable - a good night's sleep. Value for money? There are cheaper 'budget' hotels, but not in and around Cardiff the weekend we were there!! A good option to which we will happily return. [Less]

Nothing more to say than - Great People (Staff) Great Service (Facilities and Service) Great Location (Just off the M4) If you are looking for a comfortable place to finish and start your [More] days while in South Wales, the Holiday Inn Express Newport (on Cleppa Park), wins hands down. Don't take my word for it, experience it for yourself. [Less]

Cardiff one night stay
By Goose
Excellent service from all staff during our stay, in particular Fiona who gave us a warm welcome, helpful information, offered to look after our bags whilst we explored Cardiff. She dealt with a [More] difficult customer whilst we were there all with empathy and understanding. Room was spacious, beds comfortable. We ate breakfast which was plentiful, good variety and all piping hot. Good location, close to Stadium, castle and park.7_8 mins walk from station. Will definitely visit again. [Less]

Convenient and comfortable base
By Teri
Stayed for one night and got a really good rate including breakfast. Check-in was swift, room was well equipped, spacious, clean and comfortable. The bathroom is small but the over bath shower was [More] really powerful and plenty of hot water. The towels were clean but didn't smell fresh, they had a stale laundry smell you get in some hotels. We also found the room quite stuffy and the air con didn't seem to do much. Breakfast was very good. Plenty of parking spaces available at a reasonable rate for the city centre. The location is great, opposite Cardiff Castle and the stadium and a 5-10 minute walk to the main shopping area. [Less]
