Everything was great about this hotel, the room, the facilities, the food and generally the staff. The only reason I haven't given it top marks is because we had to pay £10 per night to park there.
This isn't the norm with Holiday Inn's and while I appreciate it may be something to do with being close to Gatwick and wanting to stop people ditching cars in the car park, there's surely a way of just having customers prove that they're actually staying and using the hotel rather than charging everyone. The other reason was that we arrived at midnight after our flight and the member of staff on the front desk seemed more asleep than us, doing the bare minimum. Having said that, the rest of the staff encountered on our stay were lovely and of the usual high standard. [Less]
