Overall an excellent stay.
Holiday Inn Express is an excellent hotel!
On first impressions the hotel looked clean with a lovely lay-out and the staff were very friendly, approachable and chatty.
I liked the lift system,
where you have to have a key card to gain access to the other floors because this showed that there was good security of the building.
The room was lovely, comfortable bed, clean bathroom and adequate lighting.
The location of the hotel was perfect because we were attending a concert at the O2 arena and it was only a 15 minute walk from the arena and the underground trains.
The only negatives I have are that it was hard to get the air conditioning to the right temperature. It was either too cold or too hot no matter how much I tried to adjust the temperature, and the breakfast buffet wasn't adequate enough. I would have liked more items in the buffet to enjoy a cooked breakfast. The food kept running out which lead to a queue into the dining area and halfway to the reception. When someone asked if there was more food coming out, a member of the kitchen staff replied with the attitude "Yes but it needs to cook first"! Which I thought was a quite rude response to a reasonable question.
Apart from that, the food we did have was tasty and overall, we had a lovely stay.
