By Bus. Travel
I stay at this hotel approximately four (4) times a year for ten (10) nights each time. It is very conveniently located for my business purposes. The staff are welcoming and attentive. Rooms are [More] clean and accommodating. Cooked food available at dinner time and is fairly good. House keeping does a good job and the Desk staff are very helpful and friendly. Nice, clean, friendly and accommodating Holiday Inn Express. [Less]

Generally fine but beware rooms on Oxford Road side
By Mel'sinn
I frequently stay in the Holiday Inn Express Oxford Road for business purposes and generally find it fine for the purpose, plus the breakfast is no-frills but cheering and adequate. I've [More] learned from recent experience though that if you're allocated a room on the Oxford Road site on a weekend night, it can be very noisy as it backs onto a row of nightclubs which keep the party going at full volume until about 3.30 a.m. I did mention this when I checked out and was told that there should have been earplugs available in the room. But on future occasions, I've learned to take no chances - have earplugs with me and request a room on the Hulme Road side only next time. [Less]
Great Rooms but watch out for Street Noise at Night
The location of the hotel for my needs was perfect in terms of where my client was located. Quick 5 minute walk in the morning to where I was working. For a 'budget' property rooms are very well [More] appointed. They looked almost brand new. Breakfast was included in my room rate, which offered a good selection of cereals, breads and cooked options which set me up well for the day. One tip I would recommend if you are a light sleeper (certainly during University Term time) is asking for a room away from the Oxford Road side of the hotel. My sleep was broken during the early hours on more than one occasion by fuelled up revellers. There are quite a few student bars in close proximity to the property so worth baring in mind. I stayed for 3 nights the following week on a different side of the hotel and slept straight through. [Less]
Quiet room, excellent breakfast, good location

Room was well furnished, comfortable. Bathroom very good but lighting not so great. The room was not vacuumed every day. Not sure why, but it didn't detract from a good stay. [Less]
