It is easy to park and its for free. Its easy to get a taxi into the city and its not expensive, the club sandwich for lunch was massive and we both struggled to eat them [Less]

Great team who made us very welcome. We attended a wedding so didn't use restaurant but our meal was really good. The event was very well run. [Less]
Great Rooms but watch out for Street Noise at Night
The location of the hotel for my needs was perfect in terms of where my client was located. Quick 5 minute walk in the morning to where I was working. For a 'budget' property rooms are very well [More] appointed. They looked almost brand new. Breakfast was included in my room rate, which offered a good selection of cereals, breads and cooked options which set me up well for the day. One tip I would recommend if you are a light sleeper (certainly during University Term time) is asking for a room away from the Oxford Road side of the hotel. My sleep was broken during the early hours on more than one occasion by fuelled up revellers. There are quite a few student bars in close proximity to the property so worth baring in mind. I stayed for 3 nights the following week on a different side of the hotel and slept straight through. [Less]
Quiet room, excellent breakfast, good location
By kdj_ch
Room was well furnished, comfortable. Bathroom very good but lighting not so great. The room was not vacuumed every day. Not sure why, but it didn't detract from a good stay. [Less]
1 night stay at Oxford Rd
By Mickp001
Modern hotel in a very central location. Room and bathroom in very good condition -I'd stay here again despite the niggles below. the Holiday Inn chain does make a genuine effort to please their [More] guests. On the negative side some areas of criticisms - but not complaint :- The office chair in the room did not adjust for height - it was too low to work for long. TV screen - small by modern standards. Lift service unreliable. One staff member rather sour - maybe a a bad day -maybe she didn't like her job. Cooked breakfast - poor choice of items - am i expecting too much? What was there was Ok apart from the scrambled egg [Less]
